Should I choose an LED video wall or LCD screens?
Choose LCD screens for single displays and video walls viewed up close, such as menus and reception content. Choose a direct-view LED wall for large, bright images without joins seen from further away, such as atriums, showrooms and shop windows. LED has no bezel lines, but needs a finer pixel pitch for close viewing.
Digital signage covers everything from one portrait screen in a shop window to a large LED wall in a mall atrium. The hardware decision depends on three things: how close people stand, how bright the space is, and how often content will change. A screen that looks perfect in a dim restaurant can wash out completely behind a sunny shopfront.
We handle the physical side of the project: selecting suitable screens, building frames, kiosks and cladding, routing power and data, and mounting everything safely. We also set up the content management system so your team can schedule videos and menus remotely. For printed and lit menu boards in food outlets, see our menu boards page, which covers printed, lightbox and other non-digital options.
Digital Display Signage we make
LED video walls
Atriums, showrooms, event hallsDirect-view LED cabinets joined into one large image with no bezels. Pixel pitch is chosen to match the nearest viewing distance.
LCD advertising screens
Retail, banks, waiting areasCommercial-grade displays built for long daily running hours, mounted on walls or ceilings to show promotions, videos and brand content.
High-brightness window displays
Shop windows, real estate officesScreens with much higher brightness so content stays visible through glass in daylight, often in portrait format facing the street or mall.
Digital menu displays
Restaurants, cafés, food courtsRows of screens above a counter showing menus, prices and promotions that can change by time of day from one dashboard.
Freestanding kiosks and totems
Malls, lobbies, hospitals, eventsFloor-standing enclosures with a screen, sometimes touch enabled, for directories, self-service or advertising in high-traffic spaces.
LCD video walls
Control rooms, receptions, boardroomsGrids of narrow-bezel LCD panels for detailed content at close range, such as dashboards and reception displays.

Picking the right display
| Factor | LCD screen | LED video wall |
|---|---|---|
| Best viewing distance | Close, from about 1 m | Set by pixel pitch; finer pitch for closer viewing |
| Image joins | Visible bezels on multi-screen walls | No visible bezels |
| Brightness | Standard indoor, or high-brightness for windows | Generally higher; adjustable |
| Size flexibility | Fixed panel sizes | Built up from cabinets to almost any size |
| Text at close range | Very sharp | Depends on pixel pitch |
| Typical use | Menus, single screens, kiosks | Large feature walls and atriums |
Which display suits your space?
What do you want the screen to do?
LCD menu screens
A row of commercial LCD screens, often in portrait or landscape, gives sharp text at counter distance. Use a CMS to switch breakfast and lunch menus automatically.
High-brightness window display
A high-brightness screen stays readable through glass in daylight. Mount it close to the glass, facing out, and keep content bold with short messages.
LED video wall
An LED wall gives one continuous image at large sizes. We help you choose a pixel pitch that suits the nearest viewing distance, which drives both clarity and cost.
Freestanding kiosk or totem
A floor-standing kiosk with a touch screen or looping directory works well in lobbies and malls. Plan bilingual content and a clear home screen.
LCD video wall or single display
Narrow-bezel LCD panels show fine detail at close range, ideal for dashboards, welcome messages and company videos in receptions and meeting rooms.
Planning a digital signage project
Start from the viewer's position
Measure where people will stand. For LED, the nearest comfortable distance drives pixel pitch. Too coarse and text looks grainy; too fine and you pay for detail no one sees.
Check ambient light at the busiest time
A screen facing a sunny window or under bright mall lighting needs higher brightness. We look at the space at the time of day it matters most.
Use commercial displays, not TVs
Consumer TVs are not designed for long daily hours, portrait use or remote management. Commercial screens usually carry warranties suited to signage use.
Plan power, data and ventilation early
Screens and media players need power, network and service access behind or inside the housing. Built into joinery, they also need airflow so heat can escape.
Decide who manages content
Agree who updates content and how often. A cloud CMS suits multi-branch businesses. A simple USB or local player may be enough for one fixed loop.
Digital displays in the UAE
Heat and ventilation
Screens in shop windows or near glass facing the sun can overheat even indoors. We allow for ventilation or cooling in housings and suggest positions that avoid direct afternoon sun.
Advertising content approvals
Screens showing advertising visible from public areas may need approval from the municipality or mall management, depending on location. We confirm the current requirement for your site.
Arabic and English content
Plan templates for both languages. Arabic reads right to left, so layouts for menus and directories often need a mirrored version rather than simply translated text.
Dust and cleaning
Fine dust settles on screens and vents. Easy access for cleaning and filter checks keeps displays bright and reduces the risk of overheating.

Digital Display Signage: common questions
What is pixel pitch on an LED screen?
Pixel pitch is the distance between the centres of two LED pixels, measured in millimetres. A smaller pitch means more pixels and a sharper image at close range. A larger pitch is fine when viewers stand further away and costs less. Choose pitch based on the nearest place people will normally view the screen.
Can I update the content on my screens remotely?
Yes. With a cloud content management system, you can upload videos, images and menus from a computer and schedule them to play on any connected screen. This suits businesses with several branches. Each screen needs a media player, built in or external, and an internet connection.
Can I use a normal TV for digital signage?
A normal TV can work for light use, but it is not ideal. Consumer TVs are not built for long daily running hours, often limit portrait use, and may void their warranty in commercial settings. Commercial displays are made for continuous operation, are usually brighter and can be managed remotely.
Do digital displays work in a shop window facing the sun?
They can, if you choose a high-brightness display made for windows. Standard indoor screens look dark and washed out behind sunny glass. Window displays are much brighter and handle heat better, but they still need some ventilation in UAE summer conditions and should not sit in a sealed, unvented box.
Are digital menu boards better than printed ones?
Digital menu boards are better when prices, items or promotions change often, or when you want different menus by time of day. Printed or lightbox menu boards cost less upfront and need no content management. Many outlets combine both, with a printed main menu and one screen for promotions.
What affects the cost of digital signage?
Cost depends on screen type and size, brightness, the number of screens, the media player and CMS licence, custom housings or kiosks, and installation complexity. LED walls are priced by area and pixel pitch. Share the space, viewing distance and purpose for a free quote, usually within 24 hours.
