Double-sided aluminium lightbox suspended from stainless wire or rod. Acrylic or flex-face front panels backlit by LED arrays — brand name, logo, and directional graphics glow evenly from both faces. Used in mall food courts, retail atriums, and hospital corridors.
Clear, frosted, or coloured acrylic panels with cut-out or printed directional text and arrows. Suspended on wire from ceiling grid. Lightweight, clean, and easy to update — face panels clip out for text changes. Standard for offices, healthcare facilities, and corporate campuses.
Aluminium composite material panels suspended on rods above retail aisles. Double-sided with aisle number, category name, and product icons. Heavier and more rigid than acrylic — better for large retail environments where signs need to withstand HVAC airflow without swinging.

Common questions about hanging ceiling signs
- We use specialist T-bar ceiling clips that clamp onto the metal grid without drilling. For heavier signs, we fix through the T-bar into the structural slab above using a long anchor bolt — which requires access above the ceiling tile. We assess the ceiling structure during our site survey.
- We always use a minimum of two suspension points per sign — set apart at a distance sufficient to prevent rotation. For large signs in high HVAC airflow areas, we add a rigid spreader bar. For particularly problematic airflow areas, we specify rods instead of wire — rods do not swing at all.
- Yes — for acrylic and modular signs, we design the graphics panel to be removable from below using a simple tool or by hand. For fabric banner systems, the fabric slides out of a keder rail from the bottom. For LED lightbox signs, the panel is held by retaining clips and can be removed at ceiling height with a ladder.
- Stainless wire suspension is typically rated to 15–20kg per wire. Threaded rod suspension handles 50kg+ per rod. For very large LED lightbox signs above 30kg, we use structural bracket fixing to the concrete slab with a structural loading calculation provided.
- Interior ceiling signs within a private premises generally do not require a Dubai Municipality sign permit. Mall tenants may require landlord approval for ceiling signs — we prepare the design submission drawings for landlord approval. External hanging signs visible from the street do require a DM permit.
- The minimum clearance between the bottom of a hanging sign and the floor is 2.2m — the standard pedestrian head clearance height. Most UAE commercial spaces have ceiling heights of 2.8m–4m+, giving plenty of drop for ceiling signs.
- A single ceiling sign typically takes 1–2 hours to install, including ceiling fixing and levelling. A complete wayfinding system for a clinic floor (20–40 signs) takes 1–2 days. We schedule installation to minimise disruption — evenings or weekends for operational spaces.
- A simple acrylic wayfinding sign (A3 size, double-sided, two wire suspension) starts from approximately AED 350–600 installed. An ACM aisle marker is typically AED 600–1,000. An LED lightbox ceiling sign ranges AED 1,800–3,500 depending on size and LED specification. Complete wayfinding systems are quoted per sign count.
