Concept design and artwork preparation
Visuals of the sign on a photo of your site, plus artwork converted to production-ready vectors with Arabic and English text set and checked.
Best for New brands, rebrands, landlord submissions
From the first concept visual to the finished, wired sign, the work happens under one roof in Ajman. You approve each stage before anything is cut.
It covers everything between your brand files and a finished sign ready to fit. That means concept visuals, artwork preparation, shop and structural drawings, material choice, and production by CNC, laser cutting and engraving, metalwork, acrylic, print and vinyl, then LED wiring and assembly. At Bayan Signage you approve the design, drawings and samples before production starts.
Most sign problems start before the workshop. A logo supplied as a low-resolution JPEG, a wall measured from a floor plan instead of on site, or a colour matched on screen rather than on the actual acrylic. Our design team fixes these early. We redraw artwork as clean vectors, check it against real site dimensions, and prepare drawings that the workshop, the landlord and the municipality can all read.
Because cutting, engraving, welding, printing and LED wiring are done in our Ajman workshop, the person drawing your sign can walk over and check how a return will be bent or where a driver will sit. That shortens the gap between drawing and finished part. It also means changes after approval are handled by one team, so you are not passing revised files between separate suppliers.

Best for New brands, rebrands, landlord submissions
Dimensioned drawings showing materials, depths, fixings, lighting and cable routes. Structural drawings cover frames, brackets and foundations for larger signs.
Best for Mall approvals, permits, contractors
We recommend materials for the location and show physical samples of acrylic colours, metal finishes or printed vinyl before you approve the full job.
Best for Colour-critical and premium signs
CNC routing for acrylic, ACP and foam, laser cutting in stainless, mild steel, acrylic and wood, laser and rotary engraving for nameplates and plaques, and vinyl cutting for applied lettering.
Best for Letters, logos, panels, nameplates, decals
Welded steel frames, folded aluminium returns, stainless and acrylic letters, and lightbox bodies, finished by powder coating, painting or polishing.
Best for 3D letters, lightboxes, structures
Large-format printing and lamination, LED modules and drivers fitted and tested, and every part assembled and checked in the workshop before delivery.
Best for Illuminated signs, printed faces
A brand manual, logo in AI, EPS, SVG or PDF vector format, and exact colour references save several rounds of questions. If you only have a JPEG, we can redraw it, but you should check the redrawn logo closely.
Photos taken straight on, plus overall width and height, let us prepare a realistic visual. We still measure on site before shop drawings, because landlord drawings and as-built walls often differ.
The concept visual is where you decide size, layout, colours and lighting style. Changing these after shop drawings are issued costs time, so take a moment over this stage and involve whoever has final say.
Drawings show depth, materials, fixings and power points. Your fit-out contractor or mall team may need them too. Look at the text spelling, especially Arabic, and confirm where the electrical supply will be.
Brand reds and blues can look different in acrylic, vinyl and paint. A small sample, viewed lit and unlit, avoids surprises. For metals, ask to see the actual brushed, mirror or coated finish.
Approval gates protect both sides. Once drawings are signed, size or material changes usually affect cost and dates. We tell you which changes are minor and which mean re-cutting parts.
| Method | Typical materials | Used for | Design point to check |
|---|---|---|---|
| CNC cutting and routing | Acrylic, ACP, PVC foam, MDF | Letter faces, panels, push-through logos | Inside corners get a small radius from the cutter |
| Laser cutting and engraving | Acrylic, steel, wood; engraving also on laminate, aluminium, brass | Fine logos, cut-out lettering, engraved nameplates and plaques | Very thin strokes may need thickening or a deeper engrave |
| Metal fabrication | Mild steel, galvanised, aluminium, stainless | Frames, returns, brackets, pylon skeletons | Frame size follows panel weight and wind |
| Acrylic fabrication | Cast and extruded acrylic | Letters, lightbox faces, display stands | Opal grade affects how evenly LEDs glow |
| Printing and lamination | Vinyl, backlit film, flex | Lightbox faces, graphics, panels | Outdoor work needs UV-resistant laminate |
| Powder coating | Aluminium and steel parts | Letter returns, frames, panels | Confirm RAL code against a physical chip |
| Vinyl cutting | Cast and calendered vinyl | Window lettering, applied text, door graphics | Small text below a minimum size weeds poorly |

Summer sun can push temperatures inside a closed letter or lightbox well above the air outside. We plan ventilation, driver positions and LED spacing at the drawing stage so components are not cooked in their first summer.
We specify outdoor-grade acrylic, UV laminates and coatings, and stainless fixings near the coast. Material choice for a sign in Jumeirah is often different from one in an Ajman industrial area.
Outdoor trade name signs typically need Arabic with English. Arabic is usually given equal visual weight, and we set both scripts so fine Arabic joins survive cutting and lighting.
Dubai Municipality, Sharjah and Ajman municipalities, Trakhees and free-zone authorities usually ask for drawings with your application. Malls have their own design criteria. We confirm the current requirement for your site and prepare the submission.
You share brand files, photos and the location. We visit to measure, note power points and check the wall or ground.
We show the sign on your site photo with size, colours and lighting style. You approve or ask for changes.
Dimensioned drawings, structural details where needed, and material samples are issued for sign-off before any cutting.
Parts are cut, fabricated, coated, printed and wired in Ajman, then assembled and the lighting tested on the bench.
We check finish, spelling and lighting against the approved drawing, then pack the sign for installation or collection.
The most useful file is your logo in vector format, such as AI, EPS, SVG or a vector PDF. Add brand guidelines or colour codes, your trade name in Arabic and English, and photos of the site. If you only have a JPEG or a screenshot, we can redraw the logo, but you should approve the redrawn version carefully before production.
A shop drawing is a dimensioned technical drawing of the sign as it will be built. It shows sizes, letter depth, materials, finishes, fixing method, lighting and the power connection point. Landlords, fit-out contractors and authorities often ask for it before they approve the sign. It is also what our workshop builds from.
No. If your designer or agency has already prepared artwork or drawings, we can produce from them. We usually review them first and may suggest changes for buildability, such as adjusting stroke widths for cutting or adding access for LED drivers. You approve any change before we start.
Yes, for most jobs we can show a material or colour sample before production. For an illuminated sign, a sample letter or a lit acrylic swatch helps you judge brightness and colour. Samples matter most for strong brand colours and metal finishes, which can look quite different from a screen.
Structural drawings are usually needed for pylons, rooftop signs, large facade frames and anything carrying significant weight or wind load. They show the steel frame, connections and foundation or fixing details. Some authorities and landlords ask for an engineer's approval on top. We confirm the current requirement for your site and prepare what is needed.
Cost depends on sign size, materials, the number of letters or parts, illumination, finishing and how complex the structure is. Design time rises with the number of revisions and approval submissions. Installation access, such as height or night work, is priced separately.
