Overview

Site safety signs only work if every worker reads them the same way

A site can have hundreds of workers speaking different languages, so signs lean on standard colours and pictograms first and words second. A red circle means stop, a blue circle means you must, and a yellow triangle means watch out, on every site.

Bayan Signage makes those signs for the whole job: the entrance board at the gate, PPE signs at zone boundaries, warning signs at hazards, fire and evacuation signs inside the structure, and reflective traffic signs on site roads.

We follow ISO 7010 pictograms and ISO 3864 colours as the baseline, then adjust to your consultant, main contractor and authority requirements.

Safety sign questions

What colours do safety signs use?

Red for prohibition and fire equipment, blue for mandatory actions, yellow for warnings and green for safe conditions, following ISO 3864 and ISO 7010.

Can safety signs include Arabic, Hindi and Urdu?

Yes. We pair the standard pictogram with English, Arabic, Hindi, Urdu or other languages used by your workforce.

Do you supply a sign schedule for a site?

Yes. Send your HSE plan or site layout and we prepare a sign schedule listing every sign, size and location for approval.

Do your signs meet UAE requirements?

We use ISO 7010 pictograms and ISO 3864 colours and follow the requirements your consultant, main contractor or authority specifies. Send those requirements and we confirm the signs against them.

Which signs need to be reflective or photoluminescent?

Reflective faces suit signs seen by vehicles at night, such as site road and barricade signs. Photoluminescent faces suit exit and evacuation routes where lighting may fail.

Do you install the signs on site?

Yes. We install on gates, hoardings, barricades, posts and walls across Dubai, Sharjah and Ajman, or deliver to site if your team fixes them.
