Plain privacy bands
A solid strip of frosted film across the glass at eye level. The simplest way to give a meeting room or manager's office privacy without blocking light.
Best for Meeting rooms and private offices
Privacy where you need it, light where you want it. We cut frosted and decorative film to your glass, your logo and your floor plan.
Frosted glass film is a translucent vinyl applied to glass partitions, meeting room walls and doors. It gives visual privacy while still letting daylight through, marks clear glass so people do not walk into it, and can carry a logo or pattern. It looks like etched glass, costs far less and can be removed later.
Glass-walled offices are bright and open, but they bring two problems. People at desks feel on show, and visitors sometimes miss a closed glass door until the last step. Frosted film solves both. A band at seated and standing eye level blocks direct view into a meeting room, while the glass above and below keeps the space feeling light. A thin manifestation strip or a row of dots makes the pane visible from a distance.
We cut frosted, dusted and coloured films on plotters in our Ajman workshop and install them on site across Dubai, Sharjah, Abu Dhabi and the Northern Emirates. Designs range from a simple plain band to a logo cut out of the frost, a fading gradient or a custom line pattern. This page covers interior glass. For shopfront glass that faces the street, see our window graphics service.
What is the main thing you need from the glass?
A solid frosted band covering seated and standing eye level gives strong privacy and keeps the room bright. Add a logo cut-out on the door panel if you want branding at the same time.
Thin frosted strips or dot rows at two heights make the glass visible from a distance. They can carry your logo repeat, so the safety marking also looks like part of the design.
Your logo cut out of a frosted panel gives an etched glass look. For a lighter touch, apply cut vinyl letters directly to clear glass with no band behind them.
A gradient fade or graded dot pattern screens the middle of the pane and fades to clear at the edges. It suits executive areas where full frost feels too closed.
Lines, geometric shapes or Arabic patterns cut into frosted film turn a plain partition into a feature. We adjust pattern density to give the privacy level you need.

Best for Meeting rooms and private offices
Narrow strips, dots or logo repeats placed at two heights so a glass wall or door is clearly visible. Often required on large glazed areas in public buildings.
Best for Glass doors, corridors and full-height panes
Your logo or company name is weeded out of a frosted band, so it reads as clear glass inside the frost. Gives an etched look at reception.
Best for Reception doors and boardroom glass
Film that fades from fully frosted to clear, either printed or made from graded dots. Softens the edge of the privacy zone.
Best for Executive suites and design-led fit-outs
Individual letters or room names cut from frosted or coloured vinyl and applied directly to the glass, with no background band.
Best for Room names, opening hours, door labels
Lines, geometric shapes or Arabic patterns cut into the frost for a custom feature. Pattern density sets how much privacy it gives.
Best for Breakout areas and feature partitions
Measure from the floor to the eye level of people sitting and standing in that room. A band that only covers standing height leaves seated staff fully visible from the corridor.
Privacy matters most on the corridor side. A small office facing a quiet wall may only need a thin band, while a boardroom on a busy route needs deeper coverage.
Very thin strokes and small text are hard to weed from the frost and can lift over time. Thicker letterforms and bold shapes stay crisp and read better through glass.
Use the same film and band height across all rooms on one floor. Mixing frost types side by side shows slight differences in tone and texture.
Handles, locks, door closers and silicone joints break up the glass. We measure around them so the film stops cleanly and no edge sits on a moving part.

| Film | Privacy level | Light transmission | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Standard frosted vinyl | High, shapes visible only as blur | Good, soft diffused light | Most common choice for bands and logos |
| Dusted or sandblast effect | High | Good | Finer texture, closer match to real etched glass |
| Coloured translucent film | Medium | Tinted light | Adds brand colour, best used in small areas |
| Printed gradient film | Varies from high to none | Good | Smooth fade, printed on optically clear or frosted base |
| Dot or line pattern | Low to medium | Very good | Light privacy plus manifestation in one design |
| Opaque white vinyl | Full | Low | For areas that need complete screening |
We measure every pane, note handles and frames, and photograph the glass from both sides.
You get elevation drawings showing band heights, logo positions and manifestation lines on each panel.
We bring a small piece of the chosen film to hold against your glass, so you see the real privacy level.
Film is cut and weeded in our Ajman workshop, panel by panel, and labelled to match the drawings.
Our team cleans the glass, applies the film bubble-free and trims edges, usually outside working hours if you prefer.
Building codes and the Dubai Universal Design Code typically expect large glass panels and doors to be clearly marked for safety and visibility. We confirm the current requirement for your building and place markings at the expected heights.
Many towers and free zones have fit-out rules about what can go on glass, especially glass visible from the common corridor. We can provide drawings and samples for your landlord or fit-out manager.
Interior film on outside-facing windows can get very hot in summer. We check the glass type before fitting film to double-glazed or tinted units, as some combinations raise heat stress on the pane.
Cut vinyl room names and logos often need Arabic beside English. We set both scripts with care for stroke thickness so the Arabic weeds and applies as cleanly as the Latin text.
Frosted film reduces direct view but lets most light pass through, so rooms stay bright. The light becomes softer and more even, which many people find more comfortable for screen work. Opaque white or heavily coloured films cut more light, so we only suggest those where full screening is needed.
Yes, standard frosted vinyl can be peeled off when you move offices or rebrand. Old film may need a little heat and adhesive remover to come off cleanly, but it does not damage the glass. This makes film a practical choice for leased offices, where landlords often expect glass to be returned clear.
The band should cover the eye level of people both sitting and standing, so it usually spans roughly the middle third of a standard partition. Exact heights depend on your desks, chairs and the ceiling height. We measure on site and show the band position on drawings before cutting.
Frosted film is mainly for interior glass, giving privacy and safety marking inside offices. Window graphics usually means printed or cut vinyl on shopfront glass facing the street, used for advertising and branding. We handle both, and the window graphics page covers external glass in more detail.
Good quality frosted film on interior glass typically lasts many years without yellowing or peeling. It lasts longest away from direct sun and harsh cleaning chemicals. Clean it with a soft cloth and mild soapy water, and avoid scrapers or abrasive pads on the film surface.
The price depends on the total glass area, the film type, how detailed the design is and the number of panes. A plain band is the most economical. Logo cut-outs, fine patterns and printed gradients take more cutting and weeding time. Send us your floor plan or photos and we will quote, usually within 24 hours.
Send us photos or a floor plan of your glass partitions, and we will propose a film layout and quote.
