Choosing the right backdrop size for your venue
The correct backdrop size is determined by the stage width, the number of people standing in front of it, and the viewing angle of cameras positioned in the audience. Undersizing is the most common mistake at UAE events.
Every event backdrop format we produce
All printed in-house on our wide-format printers. We supply the printed graphic only, or the complete system with frame, carry case, and installation crew.
The classic event backdrop for press conferences, awards ceremonies, red carpet events, and brand activations. A repeating pattern of logos ensures your brand appears in every photograph taken in front of the wall, regardless of where subjects stand. Standard widths 2m to 6m, height typically 2.3m–2.5m. Available in fabric (crease-free, photographic quality) or PVC (faster delivery, lower cost).
Large-format custom-designed stage backdrops for conferences, corporate events, product launches, and award shows. Unlike step-and-repeat walls, stage backdrops feature full custom artwork — a bespoke design covering the entire surface rather than a repeating pattern. Sizes from 3m to 12m+ wide. Fabric printing produces the most photogenic result — no glare, no visible seams.
Curved or straight pop-up frame systems with magnetic graphic panels — the most portable and fastest-to-assemble backdrop format. The aluminium frame opens and locks in under 5 minutes; magnetic bars attach the graphic panels without tools. Available from 2m to 5m wide. Supplied with padded carry case that doubles as a counter or product display unit.
Aluminium frame with a silicone-edge fabric graphic (SEG) that slides into a groove in the frame profile. The fabric is stretched drum-tight, producing a perfectly flat, crease-free graphic surface that is the gold standard for photography backdrops. Frames are modular and can be configured in straight runs, L-shapes, or U-shapes to wrap an entire event space.
PVC or polyester mesh backdrops for outdoor stages, festival setups, and open-air activations. Outdoor backdrops use 510gsm–720gsm PVC mesh or solid PVC, printed with UV-stable inks, and fixed to a truss or scaffold structure rather than a freestanding pop-up frame. Wind load is calculated for the structure and UAE shamal conditions.

Why fabric outperforms PVC in every event photograph.
Most event organisers in the UAE choose PVC backdrops because they are cheaper and faster. Most regret it when they see the photography. The same lighting that illuminates speakers — LED spotlights, moving heads, ambient fills — creates hot-spots and glare on a glossy PVC surface that appear as bright white patches across the background in every photograph.
Fabric eliminates this entirely. The woven polyester surface scatters light in all directions, producing no specular reflection regardless of lighting angle. Colours also reproduce more accurately on fabric under stage lighting — particularly important for brand-colour-critical events like product launches and sponsor recognition.
Fabric or PVC: which is right for you?
Every event backdrop starts with a material choice that determines photography quality, setup speed, transport logistics, and reusability. For any event where photography matters, always specify knitted polyester fabric with a pop-up or SEG frame — the cost difference versus PVC is typically AED 200–400 for a standard 3m backdrop, and the photography quality difference is transformational.

Common questions about stage backdrops
- A step-and-repeat uses a repeating pattern of logos tiled across the entire backdrop surface in a diagonal or grid arrangement. This ensures brand visibility in every photo regardless of where subjects stand. A custom stage backdrop is a bespoke full-bleed design — unique artwork covering the entire surface rather than a repeat tile. Custom backdrops are used for conferences, product launches, and branded stage sets where the visual needs to be more than a logo grid.
- For any event where photography or video matters, choose fabric (knitted polyester). Fabric produces zero glare under stage lighting, no visible seams at wide widths, and accurate colour reproduction. PVC is suitable for events where the backdrop is primarily for visual branding rather than photography — outdoor perimeters, non-photographed presentation screens, and budget-constrained applications.
- The backdrop should be at least as wide as the widest group photo you plan to take in front of it. For a 4m stage, a 3m backdrop is the minimum; a 4m backdrop is better. For a 6m+ conference stage, plan for 5–6m. The most common error is underestimating the backdrop width — when a wide-angle camera is used, the branded area in frame is smaller than it appears to the naked eye on-site.
- Standard turnaround is 48 hours from artwork approval for fabric, and 24 hours for PVC. Single-panel fabric jobs with artwork confirmed before 10am can turn in 24 hours for collection or same-day delivery within Ajman/Sharjah. For urgent orders, we maintain late-shift printing for event emergencies.
- Yes — we supply complete systems including the pop-up aluminium frame, graphic panels, carry case, and a setup guide. The frame is assembled and the graphic loaded and tested in our Ajman facility before dispatch. We also supply print-only if you have an existing frame system.
- Print-ready PDF with 3mm bleed on all sides, CMYK colour mode, minimum 100 dpi at actual print size (150 dpi preferred). For fabric dye-sublimation, supply in RGB if your brand colours were designed for screen — our dye-sub profiles produce more accurate colour from RGB source files than CMYK conversion.
- Yes — our design team includes native Arabic speakers and we produce Arabic/English bilingual backdrops as standard. We are familiar with UAE government event identity guidelines and have produced backdrops for National Day, Ramadan, and official government events.
- Yes — knitted polyester fabric backdrops are machine-washable and designed for repeated use. A well-maintained fabric panel typically lasts 5–10 events. For SEG frame systems, replacement graphic panels can be printed and installed on the same frame as your event identity evolves.
