UAE safety signage follows the international colour-coding system mandated by ISO 3864 and adopted by EHS, DCD, and DM. A sign in the wrong colour category — a yellow mandatory PPE sign instead of blue, or a blue hazard warning instead of yellow — is non-compliant regardless of how clearly it communicates the message.
A non-compliant sign does not satisfy the legal obligation to display it. Every sign we produce is in the correct colour category for its sign type, not what looks visually appealing.

Common questions about safety & compliance signage
- Dubai Civil Defence requires fire exit and emergency direction signs to be visible during a complete power failure. This means the sign must be either photoluminescent (glows in the dark for a minimum of 90 minutes at the DCD-specified luminance) or LED-illuminated with a battery backup. "Glow-in-the-dark" is not a sufficient specification without confirming the material meets the DCD-referenced standard.
- ISO 7010 is the international standard for safety signs, specifying the exact graphical symbol for each sign category. Each symbol has a unique ISO 7010 code. UAE safety standards reference ISO 7010 as the required pictogram source. Using a custom-drawn or non-ISO symbol produces a non-compliant sign.
- ISO 3864 assigns specific colours to sign categories: blue/white for mandatory actions, yellow/black for warnings. A PPE sign in yellow sends the wrong semantic message. Blue mandatory signs are also a different shape (circular) from yellow warning signs (triangular).
- Standard EHS safety signs and construction site signs: 24–48 hours from order confirmation. DCD photoluminescent fire exit signs: 24–48 hours for standard sizes. Custom-size or non-standard signs: 2–3 working days.
