Custom wallpaper printing replaces a catalogue pattern with artwork made for your space: a photographic landscape for a hotel corridor, a hand-drawn city map for a cafe, a repeating brand pattern for retail fitting rooms or a soft illustrated scene for a nursery. The artwork is printed on wallpaper media, split into numbered drops and pasted to the wall in order, so the image runs continuously from one end to the other. The print is the easy part; the wall decides whether wallpaper lasts. UAE walls are rarely square, fresh plaster holds moisture for weeks, and walls near air-conditioning units can attract condensation behind the paper. A drop that lands its join through a face, or a phone photo enlarged to four metres, spoils an otherwise good job. We measure each wall at three points, check for damp, plan drop positions around the artwork, and approve a printed colour strip before the full run.

A wallpaper print can be perfect and still fail on the wall. These are the checks that keep it looking right for years.
Image resolution depends on viewing distance. For a mural seen from 1 to 2 m, around 100 to 150 dpi at full size is usually enough; walls viewed from across a lobby can go lower. A typical phone photo is far too small for a 4 by 3 m wall. We check every file at full size before quoting, and where an image is too small we suggest licensed stock imagery or redraw illustrations as vectors.
A 4 m feature wall usually becomes four to six drops, and every join is a line through the artwork. We plan drop positions together with the layout, so faces, key text and logos fall in the middle of a drop, and nothing important sits within about 100 mm of an internal corner, where walls are rarely straight and the paper has to be trimmed.
Fresh plaster and paint in new villas and fit-outs need time to dry and cure, and walls near AC units or on cold external walls can attract condensation. Wallpaper hung too early traps moisture, which shows as bubbles, staining or joins opening within months. If we see damp or salt marks at the survey, we say so and wait rather than hang over the problem.
Ink output shifts slightly between print runs with humidity and printhead condition, so a replacement drop printed a year later rarely matches its neighbours exactly. We print all drops for a wall together and, on commercial jobs, one spare drop at the same time. Rolled and kept in your store room, it turns a damaged corridor wall into a short repair.
A villa bedroom and a restaurant corridor need very different paper. Non-woven media is breathable and easy to strip, but should only be dabbed clean. Vinyl-coated commercial media survives chairs, trolleys and wiping after every service. In hotels and malls, check the fire rating your consultant needs before choosing a texture, because a non-rated paper can hold up the handover.
Wallpaper is quoted per wall from measurements and artwork. Send us wall sizes, or photos with a tape measure in shot, your artwork or idea and the type of space, and we return an itemised quote, usually within 24 hours.
Wallpaper is priced by printed area, so total wall size is the main driver. Several walls print efficiently, but each still needs measuring and artwork setup.
Non-woven papers cost less than vinyl-coated commercial wallcoverings; textured and fire-rated media cost more but are often required in hospitality and public buildings.
Your own high-resolution files are cheapest. Licensing stock images, illustration, retouching or redrawing small images adds design time.
Smooth, primed walls are quick to hang. Old wallpaper removal, skimming, filling cracks and fixing damp add preparation time and materials.
Tall walls, stairwells and atriums need towers, and restaurants, hotels and offices often need hanging outside normal hours.
A spare drop printed with the original run adds a little material and saves a mismatched repair later.
Wallpaper in a home or private office does not usually need any approval. In hotels, malls, schools, hospitals and other public buildings, wall finishes generally need suitable fire ratings for Civil Defence and consultant approval, and fit-outs in towers and free zones such as DMCC, JAFZA or TECOM may need the landlord's sign-off as well. We confirm the current requirement for your project before choosing the media.
For fire-rated jobs we specify commercial wallcoverings that come with the media manufacturer's fire test documents, and pass those documents to your consultant with the sample. Choosing a non-rated paper because it looks identical is a common reason for delayed handovers, and replacing a finished wall costs far more than getting the media right at the start.
