Pop-Up Display Stands in the UAE

Pop up stand walls for exhibitions and roadshows

A pop up stand is a folding aluminium frame that opens into a straight or curved wall about 2.2 to 2.3 m tall, dressed in one large printed graphic that wraps round the ends. It sets up in roughly fifteen minutes without tools and packs into a wheeled case. Exhibitors, property developers, universities, healthcare suppliers and brand teams in Dubai use it when they need a professional back wall several times a year without paying for a custom build each time.

Most of the quality is in the fit. Frames are named by cubes, 3 x 3 or 4 x 3, but the exact graphic size differs between makers and between straight and curved hubs. A graphic printed from a generic template ripples or will not close. We print to the template for your frame, keep text clear of folds and joins, and set the stand up fully in our workshop before it leaves, photographing it from the front and side for your team.

Bayan Signage has run its Ajman factory since 2016 as the production arm of Bayan Advertising, a UAE group with 15 years in the market. The same designers who handle permanent signs for our 500+ clients lay out exhibition walls, so your stand matches your shopfront and reception colours. Our project managers work to the exhibitor manual and build-up date, because that is where stand projects usually come unstuck.

Our process

How we prepare a pop up stand in our Ajman factory

  1. Booth and manual review

We read the exhibitor manual for height limits, fire-retardant material rules and deadlines, and check the booth size and any shell scheme fascia height before recommending a frame.

  2. Template and layout

Our designers work on the exact template for the frame, placing the logo in the top 600 mm, key messages between about 1.0 and 1.8 m and only background colour near the floor.

  3. Printing the graphic

The wall panels, end caps and counter wrap are printed in one run so colours match. Each panel is printed, laminated for scuff resistance, trimmed to the frame template and fitted with magnetic strip.

  4. Full workshop build

Every new stand is opened, dressed and lit in our workshop. We check that the graphic closes cleanly, the end caps line up and the counter wrap fits, then photograph it from front and side.

  5. Packing with a parts list

The photo, a parts list and set-up notes go in the wheeled case with the frame and graphics, so the case is complete when your team opens it months later.

  6. Delivery, set-up and collection

We deliver to exhibition centres, hotels and malls across the UAE, and our crew can build the stand during build-up hours and collect it after the show.

Expert advice

Advice from our exhibition team

Exhibition stands are judged in the first two seconds by someone walking down an aisle. These are the details we check before printing.

Check the height under the fascia

Most 3 x 3 pop ups are about 2.25 m tall, which fits under typical shell scheme fascias of 2.4 to 2.5 m. Add spotlights on the top bars and some stands exceed the limit. Check the manual for the maximum height in your hall and the fascia height of your shell scheme before choosing frame size and lighting.

Design in three bands

The top 600 mm carries the logo and is seen over crowds from across the hall. The middle band, roughly 1.0 to 1.8 m from the floor, is where people actually read. The bottom 600 mm disappears behind counters, feet and visitors. A pop up designed like a poster, with text spread evenly top to bottom, wastes a third of its area.

Never skip the end caps

Without printed end caps, visitors approaching along the aisle see the bare aluminium frame from the side before they see your brand. End caps are a small part of the cost and add 300 to 400 mm of branding on each side, which is often where a QR code or website works best.

Practise once before the show

Fifteen minutes is the set-up time for people who have done it before. The first time, with a hall full of noise and a build-up deadline, it can take an hour. Open the case in your office well before the show, follow the set-up photo we include, and you will arrive at the venue knowing every part.

Plan power for lights early

Spotlights on a pop up need a socket on the booth, and in many halls power is ordered and paid for through the organiser by a deadline weeks before the show. If the power order is missed, the lights stay in the case. Decide on lighting when you order the stand, not on the day.

Pricing

Pop up stand price in Dubai: what affects the cost

We quote a pop up as a kit or as graphics only. Send the booth size, show dates, any exhibitor manual and your artwork, and you will usually receive an itemised quote within 24 hours.

Frame size

A 3 x 3 is the most common and economical. Larger frames use more aluminium and graphic area and come in heavier cases.

Graphic type

Standard laminated PVC panels are the economical choice. Thicker panels, matt laminate and full wrap-around ends cost more but look sharper under hall lighting.

End caps and wraps

Printing both ends and the counter wrap adds area and finishing, and makes the stand look complete from every angle.

Accessories

Spotlights, separate counters, literature holders and screen brackets each add cost, and lights may need a paid power socket from the venue.

Replacement graphics

Once you own the frame, future shows need only a new graphic printed to the same template, which costs far less than a new stand.

Delivery and set-up

Some clients collect and build the stand themselves. Delivery, set-up and collection depend on venue access times and location.

Approvals

Exhibition rules for pop up stands

Pop up stands do not need a municipality permit, but every exhibition has its own rules. Organisers at exhibition centres in Dubai, Sharjah and Abu Dhabi usually publish an exhibitor manual covering maximum stand heights, fire-retardant material requirements, power orders, build-up and breakdown times and what can be fixed to shell scheme walls. Some halls inspect stands before the show opens.

Hotels and malls hosting roadshows set similar rules, often including floor protection and restricted delivery hours. We read the manual with you, choose panels and accessories that suit its stated requirements and pass on material documentation where the organiser asks for it. Rules differ between venues and events, so we confirm them for your booking rather than assuming last year's still apply.

Why Bayan Signage

Why businesses choose Bayan Signage for pop up stand printing

Printed to your frame's template

We work from the exact template for your frame and hub type, so the graphic closes cleanly instead of rippling or falling short at the ends.

Built and checked before delivery

Every new stand is set up in our Ajman workshop with graphic and lights on, then photographed, so nothing is discovered missing at the venue.

Matching colours across the booth

Wall, end caps, counter wrap and hanging signs are printed in one batch on our own machines, so brand colours match from piece to piece.

Manual and deadlines handled

Our project managers read the exhibitor manual, note material and power deadlines and plan production around your build-up date.

Crews across the UAE

We deliver, build and collect stands at exhibition centres, hotels and malls in all seven emirates, within venue access times.

Graphics-only reorders

We keep your frame template and files, so a new graphic for the next show is a short print job with an itemised quote, usually within 24 hours.

FAQ

Pop-Up Display Stands questions we are asked most

How much does a pop up stand cost in Dubai?

It depends on frame size, panel count, end caps, accessories and whether you need delivery and set-up. A replacement panel set for a frame you own costs far less than a new 4 x 3 kit with counter and lights. Send us the booth size, show date and artwork, and we will send an itemised quote, usually within 24 hours.

What size is a 3 x 3 pop up stand?

A 3 x 3 pop up is usually about 2.2 to 2.3 m tall. A curved version is roughly 2.8 to 2.9 m along its curve, while a straight one is about 2.2 to 2.3 m wide. Exact sizes vary by frame maker, so we always work from the template for your frame before printing.

Matt or gloss laminate on pop up panels: which is better?

Matt laminate is our usual advice for exhibition halls, because spotlights and bright ceiling lights bounce off gloss and wash out photos and small text. Gloss makes colours look richer and suits darker venues or product shots that need depth. Both protect the print from scuffs in transport, so choose by the lighting at your venue rather than by habit.

How long does it take to set up a pop up display?

Two people who have done it before can usually set up a 3 x 3 magnetic pop up in about fifteen minutes, without tools. The first attempt takes longer, so we include a set-up photo, numbered panels and a parts list in the case. Larger frames need a little more time.

Can I reuse my pop up frame with a new graphic?

Yes, that is one of the main advantages. Send us the frame size or the maker's template, or bring the frame to our Ajman factory so we can measure it and check the connectors and magnetic bars. We then print a new set of panels to fit it exactly.

Can a pop up stand be used outdoors?

Pop up stands are designed for indoor use. Outdoors, even under a tent, wind can push them over, and strong sun fades printed panels quickly. For outdoor activations we recommend weighted banner walls or framed backdrops designed for wind instead.

How long does it take to produce a pop up stand?

We give you a realistic schedule with the quote, based on frame availability, panel count and accessories, counted from artwork approval. Tell us your build-up date, not the show date, so production is planned around the real deadline and your panels are checked against the frame before they leave Ajman.

Do you deliver pop up stands outside Dubai?

Yes. We deliver to exhibition centres, hotels and malls in Dubai, Sharjah, Ajman, Abu Dhabi and the other emirates, and our crew can build the stand during build-up hours and collect it after breakdown.
