Mesh Banner Printing in Dubai, Sharjah & Abu Dhabi

Bayan Signage prints wind-permeable mesh banners for construction hoardings, scaffold wraps, event perimeters and rooftop railings. We print the mesh on our own large-format machines in Ajman, reinforce every hem for the tie load, and our crews fix it on site, so one team answers for the banner from the first proof to the last cable tie.

Mesh Banners in the UAE

Mesh banner printing for wind, sun and long runs

Mesh banner printing produces a PVC-coated polyester net with an open weave, usually 270 to 370 gsm, printed on one face so it reads as a solid image from a few metres away. The holes let a large share of the wind pass through, which is why contractors, developers, scaffold firms and event organisers in Dubai specify it for long fence runs, building wraps, stadium barriers and rooftop railings, anywhere a solid banner would act like a sail.

Mesh is a compromise, and a good printer manages it rather than hiding it. Some ink passes through the holes, so colours look lighter and fine text breaks up. We raise colour density for mesh, print a test strip of your real artwork on the actual media and hang it at viewing distance in our yard, then reinforce hems for the tie spacing on your fence or scaffold drawing. Those three habits remove most of the complaints people have about mesh.

Bayan Signage has printed in its Ajman factory since 2016 as the production arm of Bayan Advertising, a UAE group with 15 years in the market. Our printers handle mesh up to 3.2 m wide in one pass, our installation crews work at height on live sites, and our project managers coordinate with your fence or scaffold contractor, which is often where hoarding jobs go wrong.

Our process

How we handle mesh banner printing in our Ajman factory

  1. Survey and structure drawing

We measure the fence or facade and ask the fence or scaffold contractor for panel sizes and lift heights. Mesh drops are planned around that structure, so ties land on tubes and posts rather than in mid-air.

  2. Artwork built for distance

Our designers enlarge thin strokes, avoid pale tints and keep text above about 30 mm per metre of viewing distance. Every join line between drops is kept clear of faces, logos and phone numbers.

  3. Test strip on real mesh

Before a large run we print a short strip of the actual artwork on the chosen mesh and view it from 15 m in daylight. You see the true colour shift before hundreds of square metres are printed.

  4. Printing and reinforcement

Mesh is printed on our UV or solvent machines up to 3.2 m wide. Hems are folded 40 to 50 mm with reinforcing tape, rope goes into the top hem of tall drops, and eyelets are set at the agreed spacing.

  5. Check, label and roll

Each drop is checked against the approved layout, numbered in installation order and rolled on its own core, so the crew on site hangs drop 7 next to drop 8 without unrolling everything.

  6. Installation with the contractor

Our crew ties every eyelet, starting at the top corners and working outwards, leaving slight give so the mesh flexes in gusts. On scaffolds we work to the scaffold contractor's permit and safety rules.

Expert advice

Advice from our hoarding and wrap team

Mesh jobs are large, so small mistakes multiply across hundreds of square metres. These are the points we check on every hoarding and wrap brief.

Approve colour on mesh, not on screen

Brand teams often approve a mesh layout on a monitor and are surprised on site, because colours look roughly 10 to 20 percent lighter once some ink passes through the holes. A printed strip on the real mesh, viewed from the normal distance in daylight, sets the right expectation. It takes ten minutes and avoids the most common complaint we hear: it looked better on the screen.

Design for 15 m, not for arm's length

Mesh is almost always seen from 10 m or more, and thin strokes break up on the weave. Allow around 30 mm of letter height per metre of viewing distance, a little more than for solid flex. Logos on a roadside fence work best at 800 mm to 1.5 m tall and phone numbers at 300 mm or more. Fine white text on a dark background closes up, so avoid it.

Use every eyelet, and add more at corners

Mesh reduces wind load; it does not remove it. Ties at 1 m spacing on a long fence work loose, the banner flaps, and the eyelets tear from the corners inwards. We tie every eyelet, tighten spacing at exposed corners and junctions, and recommend a walk along the fence after any storm to replace broken ties before a small tear runs.

Ask the scaffold contractor first

Artwork designed without the scaffold drawing ends up with join lines across faces and ties floating between tubes. Lifts are commonly about 2 m apart, so we plan each drop to land its tie rows on the tubes. Send us the scaffold layout before the design starts, and tell us which windows on an occupied building residents still need to open.

Plan an inspection on long jobs

A wrap that stays up for a year sees summer UV, shamal winds and sand abrasion. We price a mid-term inspection into long jobs rather than waiting for a call about a flapping corner. Replacing ties and patching small tears early is far cheaper than replacing a full drop at height.

Pricing

Mesh banner printing price in Dubai: what affects the cost

Every mesh job is quoted from its area and structure. Send the fence length or facade size, a site photo and your artwork or renders, and we will usually return an itemised quote within 24 hours.

Total area

Hoarding jobs often run to hundreds of square metres. Area drives the price first, and large areas spread artwork and set-up across more metres, lowering the rate.

Mesh weight and liner

Heavier mesh and liner-backed printing cost more per square metre. They pay off on tall exposed wraps and detailed images, rarely on a short fence run.

Joining and reinforcement

Joining drops, adding rope to hems and setting mid-panel eyelets all take workshop time, and that time grows quickly on full building wraps.

Access and fixing

Tying mesh to a ground-level fence is quick. Scaffold and facade wraps need lifts or rope access, coordination with the scaffold contractor and safe working windows.

Duration on site

A wrap planned to stay up for a year may need heavier mesh and a mid-term inspection, which is better priced at the start than added later.

Approvals

Where the hoarding or wrap needs municipality, developer or free-zone approval, the drawing and submission work appears as its own line on the quote.

Approvals

Hoarding and mesh banner approvals in Dubai and the UAE

Site hoardings and their graphics usually fall under the rules of the municipality, master developer or free-zone authority for the plot, covering height, content and the project information that must be shown. In Dubai that may be Dubai Municipality, Trakhees or a free zone such as JAFZA or DMCC; Sharjah and Ajman sites go through their municipalities. Mesh beside main roads may also need RTA input so it does not block junction sightlines.

Building wraps on occupied towers usually need the owner's or facility manager's approval as well, and advertising content on a wrap can need its own permit. Our draftsmen prepare elevations, drop layouts and content drawings for the submission, with Arabic and English checked. Requirements differ by location and change over time, so we confirm the current rules for your exact site at the survey.

Why Bayan Signage

Why businesses choose Bayan Signage for mesh banner printing

Large-format printing in-house

Mesh, PVC and hoarding graphics are printed on our own UV and solvent machines up to 3.2 m wide, so we control colour density and timing ourselves.

Finishing for the tie load

Hems, rope edges and eyelet spacing are set from your fence or scaffold layout, not from a default, which is what keeps long runs intact through windy months.

Crews used to live sites

Our installers work at height, follow site safety inductions and coordinate with scaffold and fence contractors, across all seven emirates.

Drawings for approvals

Our technical draftsmen prepare hoarding elevations, drop layouts and content drawings for municipality, master developer and free-zone submissions, with Arabic checked.

One project manager

A single contact handles survey, proofs, printing, installation and any re-tie visits, so you never chase three departments about one fence.

Clear, itemised quotes

Printing, finishing, installation and approval work are listed separately, usually within 24 hours, making it easy to compare quotes for large areas.

FAQ

Mesh Banners questions we are asked most

How much does mesh banner printing cost in Dubai?

The cost depends on total area, mesh weight, finishing, access and how long the banner stays up. A short fence run at ground level costs far less per metre to install than a scaffold wrap at height. Send us the length and height to cover, a site photo and your artwork, and we will send an itemised quote, usually within 24 hours.

Does a mesh banner really reduce wind load?

Yes. With around 30 to 40 percent open area, mesh lets a large share of the wind pass through, which reduces the load on eyelets, ties and the fence or scaffold. It does not make a banner windproof, so correct tie spacing and a quick check after storms are still needed on exposed sites.

Will a mesh banner look as bright as a PVC banner?

Not quite. Some ink passes through the holes, so colours appear lighter and photographs look slightly grainy up close. From the usual viewing distance of 10 m or more the difference is small. We raise colour density for mesh and can print a sample strip first if exact brand colour matters to you.

Can you wrap a whole building scaffold?

Yes. Large wraps are printed in drops up to 3.2 m wide, joined where needed and finished with reinforced hems and mid-panel eyelets. We work from the scaffold drawing so ties land on the tubes, coordinate access with the scaffold contractor and confirm any approvals the building needs before fixing.

Can people inside see out through a mesh wrap?

Partly. From outside in daylight the printed face dominates and little shows behind it. From inside, mesh behaves a bit like a shade screen, so residents and site staff can still see out, though light levels drop. For occupied buildings we can use a more open weave on drops over windows that people use.

How long does a mesh banner last outdoors?

Typically six to eighteen months in the UAE. Constant sun on a south or west face, missing ties and sand abrasion are what shorten it. Heavier mesh, reinforced hems and an inspection on long jobs push it towards the upper end. We keep your print files, so a replacement drop can be reprinted to match.

How long does a mesh banner order take?

The programme is confirmed with your quote and depends on total area, finishing and our print schedule. Building wraps need more planning because of joining, reinforcement and installation planning. Where hoarding guidelines or permits apply, approval is often the longest step, so we start the drawings early.

Do you install mesh banners across the UAE?

Yes. Our crews install mesh on fences, hoardings, railings and scaffolds in Dubai, Sharjah, Ajman, Abu Dhabi, Ras Al Khaimah, Umm Al Quwain and Fujairah. The site survey is free in Dubai, Sharjah and Ajman.
