Forklift Safety Signs for Warehouses in Dubai, Sharjah & Ajman

Bayan Signage makes forklift safety signs for warehouses, factories, cold stores and yards, and places them where drivers and pedestrians actually make decisions. We print ISO 7010 pictograms with bilingual captions on aluminium or ACP in our Ajman factory, survey your routes with your HSE lead, and fix every sign at the right height for a seated driver.

Forklift Safety Signs in the UAE

Forklift safety signs placed where people and trucks meet

Forklift safety signs manage one risk: a heavy vehicle with limited visibility sharing space with people on foot. They warn pedestrians that trucks operate in an area, keep people out of truck-only aisles, mark crossings, set internal speed limits, remind drivers to sound the horn at blind corners, and state the rules at battery charging and gas cylinder areas. We supply them to warehouses, factories, building materials yards, cold stores and back-of-house areas in large retail.

Most forklift incidents happen where people and trucks meet without warning: a personnel door, a blind rack end, a crossing nobody marked. A sign helps only if it is at that spot and at the height the person is looking. Pedestrians look at about 1.5 m, while a seated driver looks out under an overhead guard that cuts off much of the upper view. Our team walks your routes, marks each position from both viewpoints and then prints and cuts the signs in our own workshop.

Bayan Signage is the production arm of Bayan Advertising, which has worked in the UAE for 15 years, and our factory in Industrial Area 2, Ajman has made signs since 2016. We also produce the aisle signs, PPE signs, chemical hazard signs and dock signs that share a building with forklift signs, so one symbol style runs through the whole site.

Our process

How we deliver forklift safety signs from our Ajman factory

  1. Route walk with your HSE lead

We walk the building with your traffic management plan or risk assessment, marking every door, crossing, blind corner and charging area. The site visit is free in Dubai, Sharjah and Ajman.

  2. Sign schedule from two viewpoints

Each position is checked from a pedestrian's eye height and from a seated driver's view under the overhead guard, then recorded on a marked-up layout with sign type, size and height.

  3. Artwork to one symbol standard

Our designers set every sign in ISO 7010 style with short English and Arabic captions, plus any team languages your procedures require, and send proofs to your HSE team.

  4. Print, laminate and cut

Signs are printed with UV-stable inks, laminated or faced in reflective sheeting for yards and dim areas, and CNC-cut from aluminium or ACP with radiused corners.

  5. Fixing and protection

Our crew fixes to columns, walls and racking with clamps or rivets, never drilling uprights, and sets yard posts with sleeves or bollards wherever trucks pass close.

  6. Walk-through check

At the end we walk every route as a pedestrian and view it as a seated driver would, adjusting any sign that is hidden, too high or out of line.

Expert advice

Advice from our industrial safety signage team

On their own, signs are the weakest safety control; placed well, they do real work. These are the rules we follow on every site.

Put the sign where the decision is made

A single warning at the main gate is read once and forgotten. Put forklift signs at the moment of risk: on the warehouse side of every personnel door, at crossings, at blind rack ends and at the entrance to charging areas. Signs on both faces of a two-way door matter most, because people stepping out of a quiet office are the least alert.

Mount driver signs under the guard line

A sign at 2.5 to 3 m stays safe from trucks but often disappears behind the overhead guard of a seated driver. Driver-facing signs usually work at about 1.8 to 2.2 m, with a sleeve or bollard to protect them. We check a sample position from a reach truck seat on the survey, and lowering a sign by 300 mm is often all it takes.

Never group more than three

People read the first sign in a cluster, glance at the second and ignore the rest. If a doorway needs a forklift warning, a PPE sign, a speed limit and a no-entry sign, split them between the approach and the door, or combine them on one multi-message panel with a clear order of importance.

Support separation, do not replace it

If a pedestrian route runs straight through a busy aisle, a barrier or a rerouted walkway will prevent far more incidents than any warning. Signs should reinforce physical separation, barriers and driver training. On the survey we will tell you when a location needs a barrier or a convex mirror rather than another sign.

Remove signs when the layout changes

When racking moves, crossings and routes change with it. A sign pointing at a route that no longer exists teaches people that signs can be ignored, and that lesson spreads to every other sign on site. Review signs at every re-layout, and at least once a year against the traffic management plan.

Pricing

Forklift safety sign price in Dubai: what affects the cost

We price forklift safety signs from the schedule that comes out of the route walk. Send us your layout, traffic management plan or a list of locations, and we will return an itemised quotation, usually within 24 hours, separating signs, posts, protection and installation.

Number of signs and locations

A good layout often needs more signs than expected, because each door and crossing gets its own. Volume brings the cost per sign down.

Reflective faces

Reflective sheeting for yards and dim areas costs more than printed vinyl, but it is what makes a sign visible under truck work lights.

Posts and protection

Freestanding signs need posts, bases and often a sleeve or bollard. In busy yards these can cost more than the sign itself.

Mounting conditions

Fixing to steel columns, racking or concrete is quick. Insulated panels or work at height in a live warehouse take longer and may need lifts.

Custom wording and languages

Standard symbols with short captions are quickest. Site-specific rules and several languages need extra layout and translation checks.

Route survey

Walking the site to mark every position takes time, but it is what stops signs ending up in the wrong places.

Approvals

Forklift safety signs and the standards behind them

Forklift safety signs rarely need a permit, but they sit inside a compliance framework. ISO 7010 is the symbol standard most UAE clients, consultants and insurers recognise, and it includes the forklift warning (W014) and the prohibition on forklift access (P006). Your traffic management plan and risk assessment decide which signs go where, and free zones, landlords and bodies such as OSHAD in Abu Dhabi may inspect against them.

Signs must also not block fire exits, extinguishers, hose reels or emergency lighting, which Dubai Civil Defence requirements and your fire consultant protect. We work from your HSE documents and print the internal speed limit you set rather than choosing one ourselves. Requirements vary between emirates and sites, so we confirm the current position with your HSE team before installation.

Why Bayan Signage

Why warehouses choose Bayan Signage for forklift safety signs

Placed from two viewpoints

Every sign position is checked as a pedestrian and as a seated driver, so each sign is seen by the person who needs it.

Made in our own factory

Printing, laminating, reflective facing and CNC cutting happen at our Ajman factory, so replacements match the originals. Visits during production are welcome.

One symbol set for the building

We also make your aisle, dock, PPE and chemical hazard signs, keeping one ISO 7010 based style across the site.

No drilling into racking

Rack-mounted signs go on with clamps sized to the upright, which protects the racking rating and the supplier's warranty.

Itemised quotes in 24 hours

Signs, posts, protection and installation are listed separately, usually within 24 hours, so you can phase the work zone by zone.

Installation across the UAE

Our crews install in all seven emirates from Ajman and serve more than 500 clients across the UAE, most of them through repeat work and referrals.

FAQ

Forklift Safety Signs questions we are asked most

How much do forklift safety signs cost in Dubai?

It depends on how many locations need signs, the sizes, whether faces are reflective, and how many signs need posts and protection. A small store needing a dozen wall signs costs a fraction of a large distribution centre with yard posts, bollards and multilingual panels. Send us your layout and we will send an itemised quote, usually within 24 hours.

Where should forklift warning signs be placed?

At every point where pedestrians may meet forklifts: entrances to operating areas, personnel doors into the warehouse, crossings, blind corners and loading points. Placing signs only at the main gate is the most common gap. We walk the site with your team to mark each position from a driver's and a pedestrian's view.

What speed limit should we show for forklifts?

The limit is set by your site, usually in the traffic management plan or risk assessment, and often differs indoors and outdoors. We print the figure you choose and repeat it after junctions and at building entries. We do not set the limit ourselves, but we can suggest where it should appear.

Do forklift safety signs have to follow ISO 7010?

ISO 7010 is the widely recognised international standard for safety signs, and most clients, consultants and insurers in the UAE expect it. Specific requirements depend on the authority, free zone and your own HSE standards. We use ISO 7010 symbols by default and confirm the current requirement for your site.

Should forklift safety signs be reflective?

Outdoors and in dim areas, yes. Reflective faces stand out under truck work lights and headlights, which helps at night and inside darker buildings. In bright, air-conditioned warehouses printed signs are usually enough, though reflective faces still help where trucks approach from shaded areas or through doorways.

Do you make signs for battery charging areas?

Yes. Charging areas usually need no smoking or naked flames, required PPE, eyewash location and ventilation or charging rules. The wording should follow your battery supplier's guidance and risk assessment. We use chemical-resistant faces and fix the signs where operators stand while connecting batteries.

Should forklift signs be on walls, posts or hanging?

Most sites need all three. Wall and door signs warn people on foot at eye height as they approach a door or corner. Post-mounted signs work at crossings and in open yards where there is no wall. Hanging signs above aisles reach drivers, whose upper view is cut off by the overhead guard, so we hang them to clear mast tops. We plan the mix from the survey.

How often should forklift signs be reviewed?

During routine safety walks and whenever the layout changes, for example after a racking move or a new door. Faded, damaged or hidden signs should be replaced promptly. A yearly check against the traffic management plan is a sensible minimum, and we keep the artwork on file so replacements match.
