LED Video Walls in the UAE

LED video wall projects, planned around the room

An LED video wall is a large, bezel-free screen assembled from LED cabinets, typically 600 x 337.5 mm in a 16:9 format or 500 x 500 mm, locked together on a steel frame and driven by a video processor. It suits hotel and tower lobbies, car and property showrooms, conference stages, flagship stores and experience centres: anywhere a screen has to be big, bright and free of joins. Indoor LED at 600 to 1,200 nits keeps its picture in sunlit atriums where an LCD wall turns grey.

Most disappointing walls fail on choices made before the screen arrives. A pitch too coarse for the viewing distance looks like a grid of dots, a frame out of level shows as steps between cabinets, a wall recessed into joinery with no service access becomes impossible to repair, and content sent at the wrong resolution blurs every caption. We plan the pitch from the closest regular viewer, build the frame to within a millimetre or two, and brief your content team with the native resolution.

Bayan Signage is the production arm of Bayan Advertising, a UAE group with 15 years in the market, with its own factory at Alam Square, Industrial Area 2, Ajman, since 2016. Our welders fabricate the galvanised steel support frames, our CNC routers cut aluminium and ACP surrounds, our electricians handle power and data, and our installation crews hang and calibrate the cabinets. One project manager stays with the job from the first survey to handover.

Our process

How we deliver an LED video wall from survey to handover

  1. Survey and structural check

We measure the wall, check what it is built from and what it can carry, find the power and data routes, and note where the closest regular viewers stand. The survey is free in Dubai, Sharjah and Ajman.

  2. Pitch, layout and drawings

We recommend a pitch and a cabinet layout in whole cabinets, and our draftsmen produce the frame, surround and power drawings for the landlord, fit-out contractor and MEP consultant.

  3. Frame and surround fabrication

The galvanised steel support frame is welded in our Ajman factory, and any aluminium or ACP surround is CNC-cut and powder-coated to match the interior design.

  4. Supply and pre-check

Cabinets are ordered from one production batch for colour consistency, with spare modules from the same batch. We power and check them before they go to site.

  5. Installation and calibration

Our crew levels and plumbs the frame, hangs cabinets from the bottom row up, cables power and data in loops, then calibrates brightness and colour so every cabinet matches.

  6. Content set-up and handover

We configure the processor and media player, test with white, black and gradient patterns, load your first content and show your team how to run the wall.

Expert advice

Advice from our project engineers

These are the questions we settle with architects, fit-out contractors and owners before any cabinet is ordered.

Choose pitch from the closest regular viewer

A simple rule: the closest comfortable viewing distance in metres is roughly the pixel pitch in millimetres. A P2.5 wall looks smooth from about 2.5 m, a P1.5 wall from about 1.5 m. Size for the closest place people regularly stand, such as a reception queue or a sofa, not for the far end of the room, and do not pay for a pitch finer than anyone will ever notice.

Brief content at native resolution

Resolution is wall size divided by pitch. A 4 x 2.25 m wall at P2.5 is 1,600 x 900 pixels; at P1.5 it is about 2,667 x 1,500. Content made at that exact size looks sharp, while 4K files scaled down waste detail and soften text. We send your designers the pixel dimensions on day one.

Build in whole cabinets and leave room to service

A wall of 600 x 337.5 mm cabinets in an 8 x 8 grid is 4.8 x 2.7 m; the joinery should be designed around that, not the other way round. Allow 100 to 150 mm behind for structure and rear service, or specify front-serviceable cabinets where the wall sits flush. A wall that cannot be opened cannot be repaired.

Tell the MEP consultant early

LED walls give off heat and draw serious power, typically 150 to 250 W per square metre on average and roughly double at peak. A large lobby wall adds noticeably to the cooling load. We share power and heat figures with your MEP consultant before the design is frozen, so circuits and air conditioning are sized for the screen as well as the people.

Protect walls at touching height

Fine-pitch SMD modules can lose pixels when trolleys, bags or children knock their corners. If the wall starts below shoulder height in a busy space, COB modules, which seal the LEDs under resin, or a protective plinth are worth the extra cost.

Pricing

LED video wall price in Dubai: what affects the cost

We quote each wall from its size, pitch and integration needs. Send us the wall dimensions, photos, the viewing distance and how you plan to use it, and you will usually receive an itemised quote within 24 hours.

Pixel pitch

Moving from P2.5 to P1.5 nearly triples the pixel count and adds significantly to the cost of the display itself.

Wall size

Cost scales with area, plus processors, structure and cabling; very large walls may need several processors to drive every pixel.

Technology and brand tier

COB, higher refresh, HDR and redundant power cost more than standard SMD; established manufacturers cost more but match better batch to batch.

Structure and surround

Custom frames, curved or corner walls, flush recesses in joinery and decorative surrounds need engineering, steelwork and coordination.

Content and control

A simple media player adds little. Live switching, camera inputs, scheduling software and content production all add to the project.

Access and working hours

Double-height lobbies need towers or lifts, and occupied hotels and malls often limit work to night shifts.

Approvals

LED video wall approvals in malls, towers and hotels

Indoor LED walls do not usually need a municipality permit, but malls, landlords and building management often review the structure, the power connection and the fire rating of materials before a wall goes up. Many fit-out approvals also want shop drawings and load figures, which our draftsmen prepare as part of the job.

If the wall can be seen from outside the building, or will carry third-party advertising, advertising rules may apply and the municipality or the free-zone authority for your area may need to approve it. Requirements vary from building to building, so we confirm the current rules for your exact site before anything is ordered.

FAQ

LED Video Walls questions we are asked most

How much does an LED video wall cost in Dubai?

The cost depends mostly on pixel pitch and size, then on the cabinet technology, processor, structure, surround and installation access. A P2.5 wall costs far less per square metre than P1.2, so the right pitch for your viewing distance is the biggest saving. Send us the wall size, photos and viewing distance for an itemised quote, usually within 24 hours.

What pixel pitch do I need for my LED video wall?

Take the closest regular viewing distance in metres; the pitch in millimetres should be roughly the same or smaller. Most lobbies and showrooms use P1.5 to P2.5, boardrooms viewed from a metre or two need P1.2 or finer, and stages seen from far back work at P2.9 to P3.9.

Do you manufacture the LED screens?

No. The LED cabinets and modules are products of established display manufacturers. We specify and supply them, fabricate the steel frame and surround in our Ajman factory, install and calibrate the wall, and set up the processor and content player.

LED video wall or LCD video wall: which is better?

LED has no bezels, scales to any size and stays bright in sunlit spaces, so it suits large feature walls. LCD walls give a sharper picture for less money on smaller screens seen up close, especially for spreadsheets and small text. Below about 2.5 m wide, LCD is often the better value.

How long does an LED video wall installation take?

Time on site depends on the wall size, access and whether work has to happen out of hours, and the display supply depends on the manufacturer. We give you a realistic schedule with the quote, covering frame fabrication, cabinet delivery, installation and calibration. Night-shift work in malls or hotels can extend the site programme.

Can the wall be curved or wrap a corner?

Yes, with curved or corner-specific cabinets and a frame built to the radius. We weld these frames in our factory and check the curve against the cabinet specification before installation. Curves and corners add engineering and cost, and the content needs to be designed for the shape.

What maintenance does an LED video wall need?

Very little day to day: keep the room cool and dust-free and avoid touching the face. Over time a module, supply or receiving card may fail, which is why we leave service access and 5 to 10 per cent spare modules from the same batch. We can also inspect and service the wall on a schedule.

Do you install LED video walls outside Dubai?

Yes. Our crews install across all seven emirates, including Abu Dhabi, Sharjah and Ras Al Khaimah, from our Ajman factory. The site survey is free in Dubai, Sharjah and Ajman.
