Shopfront screens, mounted right

Window Display Screens in Dubai, Sharjah & Ajman

Bayan Signage supplies and installs high-brightness window display screens that keep a shopfront selling in midday sun and after closing time. The screens come from established commercial display manufacturers; we choose the brightness for your window's orientation, fabricate the ceiling poles, floor stands or frames in our Ajman factory, and set the screen so the shop still looks open.

High-Brightness Window Displays in the UAE

Window display screens built for UAE sun

A window display screen is a commercial LCD made to face outwards from behind shop glass. Its backlight is far brighter than an indoor screen, typically 2,500 nits or more, its liquid crystal has a high clearing point so it does not darken in the heat, and its front is treated against reflections. Pharmacies, phone shops, banks, exchange houses, estate agents, opticians, fashion stores and street-front restaurants use them to rotate offers through the day and keep the window working at night.

An ordinary screen in a sunny UAE window looks grey by 10 a.m. and can develop dark patches by July. Even the right screen struggles if the window bay has no airflow, if it is pushed against tinted glass, or if it is so large that the shop looks shut. We size brightness to the orientation, leave a gap to the glass, ventilate the bay where we can and position the screen so the view into the store stays open.

Bayan Signage is the production arm of Bayan Advertising, a UAE group with 15 years in the market, and has run its own factory at Alam Square, Industrial Area 2, Ajman, since 2016. Our fabricators make the ceiling poles, floor bases and window frames, powder-coated to your shopfit; our electricians check the circuit, because high-brightness screens draw serious power; and our installers align each screen to the glass. Many retail groups use us for every new branch.

Our process

How we install a window display screen in your shopfront

  1. Window survey

We check the orientation, tint, depth of the window bay, ceiling and floor for fixings, airflow and the electrical circuit, and watch how passers-by approach the shop. The survey is free in Dubai, Sharjah and Ajman.

  2. Brightness and size choice

We recommend the brightness the window really needs, a size that leaves clear glass around it and portrait or landscape, then draw the mount and its position.

  3. Mount fabrication

Ceiling poles, floor bases or window frames are cut, welded and powder-coated in our Ajman factory to match the shopfit, with cable routes built in.

  4. Screen set-up and test

Screens are supplied, the player and CMS are configured and your first content is loaded and run before installation, so the screen works when it is mounted.

  5. Installation and alignment

Our crew fixes the mount, hangs the screen 50 to 150 mm behind the glass, aligns it with the window frame, conceals the cable and sets the light sensor.

  6. Street check and handover

We check legibility and reflections from the pavement at different times of day, then show your team how to update and schedule content.

Expert advice

Advice from our retail display team

Window screens fail in predictable ways in the UAE. These five rules prevent most of them.

Buy the brightness the window needs

Shaded mall windows work at 700 to 1,500 nits. Street windows with strong indirect sun need 2,500 to 3,500 nits, and fully sun-facing west or south windows may need up to 5,000. Higher figures cost more to buy and run and produce more heat, so we measure the window rather than reaching for the biggest number on the data sheet.

Ventilate the window bay

Tinted glass and afternoon sun can push the air in a window bay well above 50 °C. Screens have their own fans, but they simply recirculate hot air if the bay is sealed. Leave a gap to the glass, open the top or bottom of the display to the shop where possible, and keep the screen out of the hottest corner.

Check through polarised sunglasses

Many people here wear polarised sunglasses, which can make some LCDs look dark at certain angles, particularly in portrait. We choose screens designed to stay visible through polarised lenses and check them on site with a pair of sunglasses before handover.

Check the circuit before the second screen

A 55-inch screen at 3,000 nits can draw 300 to 500 W at full brightness, several times an indoor screen. Two or three on the same window circuit as the display lighting can trip it on the hottest afternoon. Our electricians check capacity and add a dedicated circuit where needed.

Keep the shop looking open

A large screen in a small window blocks the view and can make a store look closed during the day. Keep clear glass around the screen, set its centre around 1.5 to 1.7 m above the floor, and run one message per slide for six to ten seconds, which is about as long as a passer-by looks.

Pricing

Window display screen price in Dubai: what affects the cost

We quote each window from its orientation, size and mounting. Send us photos of the window from inside and outside, its width and height and which way it faces, and you will usually receive an itemised quote within 24 hours.

Brightness level

3,500 and 5,000-nit screens cost more than 2,500-nit models and far more than indoor screens, so we specify what the window actually needs.

Single or double-sided

Double-sided units hold two panels and more cooling, so they cost and weigh more, but replace two separate screens.

Screen size

Price rises steeply with size; 55 inch is a common sweet spot, while 65 and 75-inch models need stronger mounts.

Mounting method

Floor stands are simplest; ceiling-hung systems need structural fixing and alignment, and custom frames add fabrication time.

Electrical work

A dedicated circuit, concealed cabling or relocated sockets are quoted separately where the existing supply is not enough.

Content and management

Cloud CMS subscriptions, content design and multi-branch scheduling add ongoing cost, and are what make the screens worth having.

Approvals

Window display screen rules for malls and street shops

Malls and many landlords restrict window screens by size, brightness, sound and content, and some limit how much of the shopfront glass a screen may cover. These rules sit in the tenant design criteria, and we design the installation to them and supply drawings and product details for approval.

Screens visible from public roads may also count as advertising, which can bring in the municipality or the free-zone authority for your area, particularly in Dubai and Sharjah. Requirements vary from site to site and change over time, so we confirm the current rule for your exact shop before ordering the screens.

Why Bayan Signage

Why retailers choose Bayan Signage for window display screens

Brightness chosen, not guessed

We measure the window's orientation and light and specify the brightness it needs, which saves money on shaded windows and avoids grey screens on sunny ones.

Mounts made in our factory

Ceiling poles, floor bases and frames are fabricated and powder-coated in Ajman to match your shopfit, with cables hidden.

Electricians on the team

Our electricians check circuit capacity and install dedicated supplies where needed, so the screens do not trip on hot afternoons.

Window and screen together

We also make window graphics, fascias and lightboxes, so the screen sits inside a complete shopfront rather than fighting it.

Checked from the pavement

Every installation is checked from the street for legibility, reflections and visibility through polarised sunglasses before we hand it over.

Ready for roll-outs

Mount drawings and settings stay on file, so the next branch gets the same window set-up on a short programme.

FAQ

High-Brightness Window Displays questions we are asked most

How much does a window display screen cost in Dubai?

It depends on the brightness, the size, single or double-sided format, the mounting and any electrical work. A 55-inch single-sided screen for a shaded mall unit costs far less than a 75-inch double-sided screen for a west-facing street window. Send us photos and measurements for an itemised quote, usually within 24 hours.

How bright should a shop window screen be?

For a window with direct or strong indirect sun, typically 2,500 to 3,500 nits, and up to 5,000 for fully sun-facing glass. Shaded mall windows can work at 700 to 1,500 nits. An ambient light sensor should dim the screen at night.

Can I use a normal TV in my shop window?

Not successfully in most UAE windows. An indoor screen at 300 to 500 nits looks grey in daylight behind glass, and its panel can darken when the sun heats it. High-brightness window screens are built for exactly this job.

Why does my window screen go dark in summer?

Usually because it is an indoor panel overheating, or a screen without a high clearing point. Heat in a sealed window bay makes it worse. A proper window screen, a gap to the glass and some airflow in the bay normally solve it.

Do you make the screens?

No. Window display screens are commercial products from established display manufacturers. We specify and supply them, fabricate the mounts in our Ajman factory, install and align them, and set up the content system.

Can one screen show different content inside and outside?

Yes. Double-sided window screens run two panels back to back, one bright for the street and one dimmer for customers inside, each with its own content. They are heavier and deeper, so the mount and ceiling need checking.

How long does installation take?

Once the mount is fabricated, most single-window installations take a few hours, usually before opening or after closing. We test the screen and load content in advance, so it is ready when mounted.

Do you install window screens outside Dubai?

Yes. Our crews install across all seven emirates from our Ajman factory, and the site visit is free in Dubai, Sharjah and Ajman. For retail groups we can install a matching set-up across many branches.
