See-through LED, integrated in Ajman

Transparent LED Screens in Dubai, Sharjah & Abu Dhabi

Bayan Signage supplies and installs transparent LED screens that let a shopfront, showroom or atrium carry video without losing the view through the glass. The LED panels and film come from established display manufacturers; we design the hanging or standing system, fabricate the frames and rails in our Ajman factory, install them aligned to your glazing and set up the content.

Transparent LED Displays in the UAE

Transparent LED screens that keep the view

A transparent LED screen is built from thin vertical LED strips with gaps between them, so roughly 60 to 90 per cent of the surface stays open. From a few metres away the eye merges the lit pixels into a picture while still seeing through. Rigid panels, often 1,000 x 500 mm, hang or stand behind the glass; LED film bonds to the inside of the glazing. Flagship stores, car showrooms, mall atriums, hotel glass walls and street-facing lobbies use them to show content at night without closing in the space by day.

The quality of a transparent installation depends less on the panel than on how it meets the building. Panel joints that ignore the mullions look like a second, clumsy glazing grid. Panels pushed hard against the glass trap heat and make the inside face impossible to clean. And content designed for a normal screen, with white backgrounds, turns the window into a blank light panel. We align panels to the glazing, leave a ventilated gap and brief your content team before launch.

Bayan Signage has made signage at its own factory in Alam Square, Industrial Area 2, Ajman, since 2016, as the production arm of Bayan Advertising, which has worked in the UAE for 15 years. Our draftsmen detail the support rails and their fixings, our fabricators make the steel and aluminium frames and powder-coat them to match the shopfront, our electricians hide the power and control in the rails, and our installers work with your glazing and fit-out contractors.

Our process

How we install a transparent LED screen from our Ajman factory

  1. Glazing survey

We measure the glass and mullion grid, check the ceiling or floor for fixing points, note the sun direction and find routes for power and data. The survey is free in Dubai, Sharjah and Ajman.

  2. Pitch, layout and rail design

We recommend panel or film and a pitch, set the layout to the mullions, and our draftsmen detail the rails, fixings and safety cables for landlord approval.

  3. Rail and frame fabrication

Steel or aluminium rails and frames are cut, welded and powder-coated in our factory to match the shopfront, with channels to hide power supplies and cables.

  4. Supply and bench check

Panels are ordered from one production batch and powered on our bench before site, so colour, brightness and dead strips are checked away from the shop floor.

  5. Installation and alignment

Our crew fixes the rails, hangs or stands the panels with safety cables, aligns every joint to the glazing and leaves the inside of the glass reachable for cleaning.

  6. Content and brightness set-up

We set brightness to follow daylight, load test content on a black background, check the view from the street and from inside, and hand over the content system.

Expert advice

Advice from our display integration team

Transparent screens reward careful planning more than almost any other display. These are the points we settle before ordering.

Design every frame on black

On a transparent screen, black is clear glass. Content built on a black background floats on the window, while full-frame white turns the shopfront into a light panel and hides your products. Ask your designers for bold graphics, product shots and motion on black, and keep any white to small, deliberate areas.

Match pitch to distance, then accept the trade

A finer pitch means more detail but more LEDs and less open area. For a shopfront seen from 3 to 10 m, P3.9 to P5 is usually the right balance. For an atrium or facade seen from 15 m or more, P7.8 to P10 is cheaper and more transparent. There is no setting that gives both maximum clarity and maximum view.

Keep text large and short

Resolution is low. A 3 x 2 m screen at P3.9 is only about 770 x 510 pixels, so text needs to be at least 150 to 200 mm high to read cleanly, and long sentences will not work. Treat the screen as a moving poster, not a page of information.

Follow the mullions

Lay out panels so their joints line up with the vertical and horizontal glazing bars. From the street the screen then reads as part of the shopfront, not as a second grid laid over it. That sometimes means a slightly smaller or larger screen than first drawn, which is worth it.

Leave room for heat and cleaning

Strong sun through the glass heats the air gap behind it. A 50 to 150 mm gap lets warm air rise out, and a brightness setting that follows daylight cuts heat further. The same gap lets cleaners reach the inside of the glass, which in UAE dust is needed often.

Pricing

Transparent LED screen price in Dubai: what affects the cost

We quote each transparent screen from the glazing and the layout. Send us the glass dimensions, photos from inside and outside, and how far away people will view it, and you will usually receive an itemised quote within 24 hours.

Pitch and transparency

A finer pitch means more LEDs per square metre and a higher cost; a coarser pitch is cheaper and more see-through but needs distance.

Panel or film

Rigid panels need rails or frames but are easy to service; film needs no structure but requires skilled application and is harder to repair.

Size and shape

Cost scales with area, and custom sizes that follow mullions or curved glass need cut panels and longer manufacturer lead times.

Brightness

Higher brightness for sun-facing glass needs better LEDs and more power, and the extra heat in the gap has to be managed.

Structure and access

Top-hung systems, floor rails, safety rigging and work at height shape the installation cost, especially in tall showrooms.

Content

A first content set made for the screen's exact resolution is quoted separately and often makes the biggest difference to the result.

Approvals

Transparent LED screen approvals for shopfronts and malls

A screen visible from outside may be treated as advertising, and malls, landlords and authorities often have rules on brightness, content and moving images in shop windows. Street-facing installations in Dubai, Sharjah or Ajman may need municipality or free-zone approval depending on the location and what the screen shows.

Suspended panels add a second layer: building management usually reviews the fixing to the slab or ceiling, the loads and the safety cables before work starts. Our draftsmen prepare the drawings and load details for both approvals. Requirements differ by site, so we confirm the current rules for your exact location before anything is ordered.

FAQ

Transparent LED Displays questions we are asked most

How much does a transparent LED screen cost in Dubai?

It depends on the pitch, the area, panel or film, the brightness, the support structure and the installation access. A coarse-pitch atrium screen costs less per square metre than a fine-pitch shopfront screen. Send us the glass dimensions, photos and viewing distance for an itemised quote, usually within 24 hours.

How does a transparent LED screen work?

It is made of thin vertical LED strips with gaps between them, so most of the panel is open. From a few metres away the eye merges the lit pixels into an image while still seeing through the gaps. Black content shows as clear glass, so images seem to float in the window.

Can people inside the shop see out?

Yes, though the view is slightly reduced. From inside, the panels appear as fine lines of strips, and the street remains visible between them. Transparency of 60 to 90 per cent is typical, depending on the pitch.

Transparent LED or a window LCD screen?

Transparent LED keeps the view through the glass and suits large windows and atriums seen from a distance. A high-brightness window LCD gives a much sharper picture and readable text close up, but blocks the view behind it. If the window is the product display, transparent LED usually wins.

Is LED film better than rigid panels?

Film suits doors, curved glass and places with no room for a frame, and it is very light. Rigid panels are brighter, easier to service and replace in sections, and come in finer pitches. Most shopfronts use panels; film is the specialist option.

Do you manufacture transparent LED panels?

No. Transparent panels and film are products of established display manufacturers. We specify and supply them, fabricate the rails and frames in our Ajman factory, install and align them to your glazing, and set up the content system.

How do we clean the glass behind the screen?

We leave a 50 to 150 mm gap between panels and glass, and where needed design panels to lift out, so the inside face can be cleaned without taking the screen down. The panels themselves only need occasional dusting.

Do you install transparent screens across the UAE?

Yes. Our crews install in all seven emirates from our Ajman factory, including malls in Abu Dhabi and Sharjah. The site survey is free in Dubai, Sharjah and Ajman, and we coordinate night-shift work with mall operations where needed.
