Acrylic 3D Letters in Dubai, Sharjah & Abu Dhabi

Bayan Signage cuts acrylic 3D letters on its own CNC routers and laser cutters in Ajman, then paints, polishes and pins them in the same building. We hold cutting tolerance to ±0.1 mm, so fine logo details and Arabic dots come off the bed clean, and our installers fix the finished set to your wall, glass or partition.

Acrylic 3D Letters in the UAE

Acrylic 3D letters, cut from solid cast sheet

Acrylic 3D letters are solid letters and logos cut from a single sheet of cast acrylic, usually 10 to 30 mm thick, so the sheet thickness becomes the depth of the letter. There are no seams, welds or trim, just crisp square sides. They are the natural choice for office receptions, clinic corridors, salon walls, glass meeting rooms, cafe counters and shopfronts sheltered by a canopy, where a business wants a dimensional brand mark at a sensible budget.

The difference between a set that looks like solid colour and one that looks like cheap plastic comes down to three decisions: the grade of sheet, the edge finish and how the colour is applied. Cast acrylic machines cleanly and resists crazing around pin holes; extruded sheet is cheaper and cracks sooner. We cut on CNC routers and laser cutters at Alam Square, Industrial Area 2, then spray, polish and fit studs in-house, so nothing leaves the factory for finishing.

Bayan Signage is the production arm of Bayan Advertising, which has worked in the UAE market for 15 years, and our Ajman factory has been cutting acrylic since 2016. The designer who checks your logo at production size, the operator who runs the router and the installer who drills your wall all sit in one team under one project manager. Most of our work comes from returning clients and referrals.

Our process

How we make acrylic 3D letters in our Ajman factory

  1. Survey and wall check

We measure the wall, note whether it is plasterboard, block, marble, glass or cladding, and check the light falling on it. The survey is free in Dubai, Sharjah and Ajman.

  2. Artwork at full size

Our designers redraw the logo as clean vectors, check every stroke and Arabic dot at real size, and send a proof showing thickness, colour and stand-off on a photo of your wall.

  3. CNC routing or laser cutting

Letters are nested on cast sheet in one direction and cut to ±0.1 mm. Thick sheet goes on the router; thinner, highly detailed parts may go to the laser for a cleaner edge.

  4. Edge work and colour

Edges are left matt, polished clear or painted. Faces are sprayed or covered in cast vinyl, and we paint the back face too when the sides will be seen through glass.

  5. Studs, template and inspection

Studs are tapped or bonded into each letter, and a full-size drilling template is printed. Every letter is checked against the approved artwork for size, colour and edge quality.

  6. Installation

The installer tapes the template up, drills, sets resin anchors and presses each letter home on its pins, checking level and spacing. Outdoors, pin holes are left slightly oversized for heat movement.

Expert advice

Advice from our acrylic cutting team

These are the points our designers and router operators raise most often on acrylic jobs. Each one is cheap to get right on the proof and expensive to fix on the wall.

Match thickness to height

Our working rule is a thickness of about one tenth of the letter height for letters up to 300 mm: 150 mm letters in 15 mm sheet, 250 mm letters in 20 to 25 mm. Thinner than that and a letter reads like a sticker from across the room. Above roughly 400 mm, solid sheet gets heavy and expensive, and a hollow acrylic box letter usually looks the same for less.

Pay for cast sheet, not extruded

Both look identical on delivery day. Extruded acrylic carries internal stress from manufacture, so it tends to craze around drilled pin holes and under cleaning sprays within a year or two. On thick letters that will be pinned and wiped for a decade, the price difference is small, and it is the first thing we check when a client asks why an older sign has hairline cracks.

Keep strokes wide enough to handle

On 10 mm sheet we want strokes of at least 4 to 5 mm; on 15 mm sheet and above, 8 mm or more. Thinner parts snap during packing, flex when pinned and break when cleaned. Fine serifs, thin script tails and small Arabic dots are often thickened slightly or cut from thicker sheet, which we show on the proof so nothing changes without your approval.

Think about which wall faces the sun

Acrylic expands far more with heat than metal, and painted faces fade faster than powder coat. A fascia under a deep canopy or arcade suits acrylic well. A west-facing wall in full afternoon sun does not, and on that kind of facade we usually recommend painted aluminium letters instead. Telling you that early is cheaper than repainting a faded sign after two summers.

Tell the cleaning team before handover

Most damage we see on acrylic receptions comes from glass cleaner. Ammonia and alcohol sprays leave fine cracks on painted and polished acrylic that cannot be buffed out. A soft microfibre cloth with water and a drop of mild soap is all the letters need. We include written care notes at handover so facilities staff know from day one.

Pricing

Acrylic 3D letter price in Dubai: what affects the cost

We price every set from its drawing rather than a list. Send your logo file, the wall size and a photo, and you will receive an itemised quote, separating materials, labour and installation, usually within 24 hours.

Sheet thickness and area

You pay for the sheet the letters are nested on, so thick sheet and tall letters raise cost quickly. Laminating two thinner sheets is sometimes cheaper than one very thick one.

Face finish

A stock colour is simplest. Matched paint, two-tone faces, mirror acrylic and printed vinyl overlays each add a finishing step and drying time.

Edge treatment

Router edges cost least. Polishing clear edges or hand-painting them in a second colour adds labour on every curve of every letter.

Detail and part count

Small text, thin serifs and Arabic dots mean more cutting time, careful cleaning and more studs per square metre of lettering.

Mounting surface

Painted block is quick to drill. Glass needs bonded fixings or a backing panel, marble needs careful drilling, and cladding may need a sub-panel.

Access and hours

A ground-floor reception is a short visit. Work at height, mall night shifts and occupied offices that need dust control add installation time.

Approvals

Approvals for acrylic 3D letters, indoors and outdoors

Interior acrylic letters in an office, clinic or salon usually need nothing more than landlord or building management approval, and malls normally ask to see a drawing of any lettering visible from the concourse. Our draftsmen prepare that drawing with sizes, colours and fixing details so the management office can sign it off quickly.

Acrylic letters on an outdoor shopfront are treated as a sign. In Dubai that usually means Dubai Municipality or the relevant free-zone authority such as DMCC, JAFZA or TECOM, and in Sharjah and Ajman the local municipality. We check the trade name against your licence in Arabic and English and confirm the current requirement for your exact address at the survey.

Why Bayan Signage

Why businesses choose Bayan Signage for acrylic 3D letters

Cutting under our roof

CNC routers and laser cutters in our Ajman factory handle acrylic every day, so cut quality, edge finish and lead time stay in our hands.

Checked at real size

Designers check artwork at production size, so thin strokes and Arabic dots are dealt with on the proof, not discovered at the router.

Installers who know acrylic

The crew that cut your letters fits them, with templates, the right anchors for each wall and slack around outdoor pins for heat.

Honest material advice

If your wall is too exposed for acrylic, we say so and quote the metal alternative, even when acrylic would be the easier sale.

Itemised quotes

Sheet, finishing, fixings and installation are listed separately, usually within 24 hours, so you can compare quotes line by line.

FAQ

Acrylic 3D Letters questions we are asked most

How much do acrylic 3D letters cost in Dubai?

The price depends on sheet thickness, letter height, finish, detail and the wall you are fixing to. A short logo in 15 mm painted acrylic on a plasterboard wall is a modest job; a long bilingual name in 30 mm mirror acrylic on marble costs considerably more. Send the logo, the wall size and a photo and we will return an itemised quote, usually within 24 hours.

Can acrylic 3D letters be used outdoors in the UAE?

Yes, in shaded or partly shaded positions, using cast acrylic with UV-stable paint or cast vinyl. Under a canopy, in an arcade or on a north-facing fascia they perform well. On a south or west wall in full sun, colours fade sooner and the material moves more with heat, so we normally recommend aluminium letters there. Outdoor installations carry our 5-year outdoor warranty.

What is the difference between acrylic and Perspex letters?

There is no real difference: Perspex is a brand name for acrylic sheet. What matters is whether the sheet is cast or extruded. Cast sheet machines, polishes and resists cracking better, which is why we use it for thick 3D letters. Extruded sheet is fine for flat printed panels but less reliable for letters that are drilled, pinned and cleaned for years.

How are acrylic letters fixed to a wall or glass?

On walls, we tap or bond threaded studs into the back of each letter and push them into drilled holes set with a resin or mechanical anchor suited to the wall, using a full-size template so every pin lands exactly. Letters sit flush or on spacers. On glass we avoid drilling the partition and use bonded studs or a clear acrylic backing panel instead.

How long does it take to make acrylic 3D letters?

Most sets are cut, finished and ready to install within 5 to 10 working days of artwork and colour approval. Simple single-colour sets are at the shorter end; custom paint matches, mirror finishes and large sets take longer. Installation of a reception logo is usually a few hours on site.

Can you make acrylic letters in Arabic?

Yes. Bilingual Arabic and English lettering is a large part of our work. We size the two scripts as one composition and check the Arabic spelling against your trade licence. Small dots and thin connecting strokes are the fragile parts in acrylic, so we sometimes thicken them slightly or cut the Arabic from a thicker sheet, and we show any change on the proof.

Can acrylic 3D letters light up?

Solid painted acrylic letters are normally unlit. Clear acrylic can be edge-lit with LED strip in a routed groove, which gives a soft glow suited to interiors. For a bright sign that must be read from a road at night, front-lit letters with opal acrylic faces are the right construction. Retrofitting light into a solid letter rarely looks even.

Can a broken acrylic letter be replaced on its own?

Yes. Each letter is a separate piece, so a chipped or snapped letter can be recut and refinished to match without replacing the set. We keep the cutting files for the signs we make, and a single letter is usually re-pinned in one short visit. Keep any broken piece and its pin, as it helps us match colour and position.
