FAQAcrylic Wall Signs questions we are asked most
How much does an acrylic wall sign cost in Dubai?
The price depends on the size, thickness, graphics method, shape and number of stand-offs. A 600 by 400 mm printed plaque costs far less than a 20 mm layered logo panel with gold stand-offs. Several signs in one order cost less each. Send us your artwork, sizes and a photo, and we will send an itemised quote, usually within 24 hours.
How long does it take to make an acrylic wall sign?
We give you a realistic schedule with the quote, starting from proof approval. Large layered panels or big orders need more time in the factory, and if building management must approve the sign first, that step often takes longest. Fixing a single plaque on site is quick, so most installs fit around normal office hours.
Is acrylic better than aluminium for a wall sign?
Acrylic gives a glossy, glass-like depth, takes reverse printing and polishes to a clear edge, so it suits receptions, suites and showrooms. Printed aluminium or ACP is flatter and less reflective but shrugs off knocks and heat. For most office and shop signs acrylic is the practical choice; for plant rooms and service corridors we usually suggest aluminium.
What is the difference between cast and extruded acrylic?
Cast acrylic is made by pouring liquid acrylic between glass plates, which gives a harder, more stable sheet that polishes well and resists stress cracking. Extruded acrylic is pushed through rollers, costs less and is more prone to cracking and yellowing. We use cast sheet for wall signs because the difference shows within a year or two.
Will an acrylic sign yellow near a window?
Good UV-stable cast acrylic printed with UV-cured inks stays clear for many years indoors, even near glazing. Cheap extruded sheet and solvent-based inks are what usually yellow or fade. For signs in direct sun through south or west-facing windows, we also allow extra space for expansion at every fixing.
Can acrylic wall signs include Arabic?
Yes. We print or laser-cut Arabic at sizes that keep dots and joins clean, which matters because small Arabic diacritics break up easily on cheap vinyl cutters. Bilingual signs are laid out with Arabic and English at equal visual weight, and we check the text before production.
How do I clean an acrylic sign without scratching it?
Use a soft microfibre cloth with mild soap and water, and wipe gently. Avoid paper towels, which scratch, and alcohol or ammonia cleaners, which can cause fine cracks over time. Reverse-printed signs are forgiving because the artwork sits behind the face, but the face itself should still be treated like a pair of glasses.
Do you install acrylic signs across the UAE?
Yes. Our crews install across all seven emirates from our factory in Ajman, from single plaques to building-wide sign packages. The site visit is free in Dubai, Sharjah and Ajman. For simple plaques, we can also supply a drilling template so your own maintenance team can fix them.
