A for sale sign board, or its partner the for rent or to let board, is the simplest marketing a property has: a printed panel with the status, a phone number and the agency name, standing in front of a villa, fixed to a shop window or tied to a warehouse fence. Agencies, developers, landlords and private owners use them where buyers and tenants pass slowly and look, particularly for commercial units and industrial plots that tenants hunt for by driving the area.
Most boards we are asked to replace failed in one of two ways. Either the layout tried to be a listing, with photos, features and three phone numbers that nobody can read at 40 km/h, or the material was wrong, so the board bowed, faded or blew over within weeks. A property board is a pointer to a phone call, not a brochure. These are the rules we apply to every board layout and order.
A driver inside a community at 30 to 40 km/h reads a board from 15 to 25 m for about four seconds. In that time the words FOR RENT need to be at least 100 to 150 mm tall and the phone number 60 to 80 mm. A 600 x 900 mm board holds exactly that and very little else. On a main road or industrial frontage, move to 1,200 x 2,400 mm with 250 mm text.
Two numbers halve the size of both, and callers hesitate over which to dial. Put one number on the board, preferably a WhatsApp-enabled mobile, and use the WhatsApp icon rather than the word to save width. If the agency needs a second line, a short web address or QR code is a better use of the space.
Correx typically lasts a few months to about a year outdoors before it bows and fades. ACP and aluminium agency boards last several years and can be reused across many properties. Foam PVC should never be used outside; it warps in UAE sun within weeks. For a single villa sale, Correx is sensible. For an agency, ACP stock boards pay for themselves within a few listings.
Under Offer, Sold, Let and Price Reduced strips keep a board useful through the whole transaction and tell neighbours the agent follows up. We print a set of riders with every first order of agency boards. Printing them later costs a separate set-up for a few strips.
Many master communities and towers restrict or ban boards on villas, balconies and windows, or fix the size and position. A board placed without permission may be removed within days. Ask the community or building management first; we can supply a drawing for approval, or suggest window graphics inside the unit where external boards are not allowed.

Property advertising by brokers in Dubai is regulated, and an agency board usually has to carry the brokerage details and a valid advertising permit reference. Rules are not the same in Sharjah, Ajman or Abu Dhabi. Separately, the place the board stands needs permission.
