Table Number Signs for Restaurants in Dubai & Abu Dhabi

Bayan Signage makes table number signs and QR table stands for restaurants, cafes, hotels and banquet venues. We laser-cut acrylic, wood and stainless steel and UV-print every number in our Ajman factory, test every QR code on several phones before production, weight the bases so they stay put and pack each set in order with spares.

Table Number Signs in the UAE

Table number signs your staff can read from the pass

Table number signs tell staff which table is which and, more and more often, carry the QR code that opens the menu or the payment page. In a busy restaurant they let runners deliver food without asking; in counter-service cafes the guest carries a numbered stand to the table so the order can find them; in a hotel ballroom they guide hundreds of guests to their seats in the minutes before dinner. We make them for restaurants, cafes, hotels, caterers and event planners.

They are touched, wiped and knocked more than almost any other sign. A cheap stand that tips over, discolours under sanitiser or loses its print looks tired within weeks, and a QR code that will not scan creates a queue of frustrated guests waving phones. A good stand is weighted, cleanable, legible from the server's station and quietly on brand, so it sits naturally beside the cutlery. Material choice and QR testing are where we spend the most care.

Bayan Signage has run its factory at Alam Square, Industrial Area 2, Ajman since 2016, as the production arm of Bayan Advertising, which has 15 years in the UAE. Our laser cutters work in acrylic, wood, stainless and mild steel, our CNC routers shape thicker blocks, and our UV printers handle full-colour numbers and codes. We keep every file, so replacing a lost stand months later gives an exact match.

Our process

How we make table number signs in our Ajman factory

  1. Brief and table check

We ask about the table count, the table surfaces, the distance from the pass to the furthest table, terrace seating and how staff clean between guests. A photo of a laid table helps us size the stand.

  2. Design and QR test

Our designers set the numeral size, the QR position and the branding, then we print the code at final size and scan it on several phones in typical restaurant lighting.

  3. Sample stand

We make one sample in the chosen material so you can check weight, colour, readability and how it stands up to your cleaning products before the full set is produced.

  4. Laser cutting and printing

Stands are laser-cut or CNC-routed, and numerals and logos are UV-printed, laser engraved, applied in vinyl or cut as a raised layer. Stainless stands are cut, then brushed or polished.

  5. Finishing and inspection

Edges are rounded or polished, wood is sealed, pads are fitted under every base, and each stand is checked for number sequence, print quality and a successful scan.

  6. Packing in sequence

Sets are packed in numerical order with a few spares, so staff can lay out a room quickly and swap in a spare when a number goes missing.

Expert advice

Advice from our hospitality team

Table numbers are small, but they fail in very public ways. These are the points we raise with restaurant and hotel teams before production.

Choose the material by the sanitiser

Many outlets wipe tables and accessories with alcohol-based sprays several times a service. Alcohol can craze acrylic over time and strips cheap prints quickly. For daily use we prefer brushed stainless steel, sealed hardwood or properly cured UV prints on cast acrylic. Tell us what your team actually sprays, and we will test the sample with it.

Follow the QR rules

A code of 25 to 30 mm square scans reliably from about 20 to 30 cm, the distance most guests hold a phone over a table. Keep a clear margin of at least four modules around it, print dark on light, avoid gloss under ceiling spots and keep it away from the edge where fingers hold the stand. Use a dynamic code, so the destination can change without reprinting every stand.

Size the numbers for the pass, not the guest

The guest knows where they sit; the runner does not. Numerals of 40 to 60 mm read from the pass or the service station at 3 to 8 m. We also orient the number to face the main service route, so staff can scan the room without walking every aisle. In ballrooms, guests look from the entrance at 15 to 25 m, which needs numbers of 100 mm or more on stands of 300 to 400 mm.

Weight the base for terraces and air conditioning

Terrace dining is popular for much of the year, and light stands blow over in the first breeze or the downdraft of an air conditioning vent indoors. We make the base at least 60 to 100 mm deep and add a hidden steel weight for terrace sets. Near the coast, 316 stainless and UV-stable prints keep outdoor stands looking right through the season.

Keep a neutral base and change the topper

Hotels and event venues host weddings, conferences and iftars with very different looks. Many keep a stock of neutral bases and change only the number inserts or toppers for each event, which keeps the cost per event low. We also always pack a few spares, because numbers go missing at the end of every busy night.

Pricing

Table number signs price in Dubai: what affects the cost

We quote from your table count and the design, so there is no fixed price list. Send the number of tables, the style you want, your logo and any QR link, and we return an itemised quote, usually within 24 hours.

Number of tables

Design and setup are shared across the set, so the price per stand falls as the quantity rises from a small cafe to a hotel ballroom.

Material

Acrylic is the most economical. Sealed hardwood, mirror acrylic and brushed stainless steel cost more and last longer under heavy cleaning.

Branding method

UV print is the most efficient. Laser-cut metal or acrylic numerals, raised layers and multi-colour logos add a cutting and assembly step per stand.

QR or NFC features

A printed QR code adds little. Embedding NFC tags or making two-sided stands with codes on both faces adds parts and time.

Size and weight

Tall banquet stands and weighted terrace bases use more material and machining time than standard dining stands of 100 to 180 mm.

Packing and delivery

Sequenced packing, gift-style boxes for events and delivery across the emirates are priced separately from the stands.

FAQ

Table Number Signs questions we are asked most

How much do table number signs cost in Dubai?

The cost depends on the number of tables, the material, the branding method, any QR or NFC features, the stand size and packing. A set of acrylic stands for a small cafe costs far less per piece than laser-cut stainless numbers for a hotel ballroom. Send the table count, the style and your logo, and we will send an itemised quote, usually within 24 hours.

What size should table numbers be?

For restaurants, numerals of 40 to 60 mm on stands 100 to 180 mm tall read from the pass at 3 to 8 m. For banquets and weddings, where guests look from the entrance, use 100 mm or more on stands of 300 to 400 mm, or on poles above the centrepiece.

What size should the QR code be on a table stand?

At least 25 to 30 mm square, with a clear margin of about four modules around it, printed dark on a light, matt surface. That scans reliably from the 20 to 30 cm most guests hold their phone. We test every code on several phones before production.

What happens if our menu link changes?

If the stands use a dynamic QR code, you simply change the destination in your QR or menu platform and every stand keeps working. With a static code, the stands must be reprinted. We recommend dynamic codes for this reason and will print whichever code you supply.

Which material survives daily sanitising best?

Brushed stainless steel and sealed hardwood handle frequent cleaning best, especially with engraved numbers, which have no print layer to wear. Cast acrylic with a properly cured UV print also performs well, but strong alcohol sprays can craze acrylic over time. We test the sample with your actual cleaning products before making the set.

Can table numbers use Arabic-Indic numerals?

Yes. Most venues use Western numerals, but many weddings and hospitality events prefer Arabic-Indic numerals alongside them. We lay out both clearly on the same stand, sized so neither looks secondary, and any wording is designed in Arabic and English together.

Can you make table numbers for a wedding or one-off event?

Yes. We make event sets in mirror or gold acrylic, wood or metal, sized for ballrooms and matched to the theme. Tell us the event date when you ask for the quote, and we will confirm a realistic production date before you commit.

Do you deliver table number signs across the UAE?

Yes. We pack sets in numerical order in Ajman and deliver to restaurants, hotels and venues in all seven emirates, including Dubai, Sharjah, Abu Dhabi and Ras Al Khaimah. Replacement numbers for an existing set can be sent the same way.
