Metal Logo Signs in the UAE

Metal logo signs, translated from artwork to metal

A metal logo sign is a company mark cut, layered or fabricated from stainless steel, aluminium or brass and fixed to a wall, pillar, totem or backing plate. Letters follow a font; logos follow a designer's imagination, with swooshes, small trademark symbols, overlapping colours and shapes floating inside others. Corporate receptions, building entrances, car showrooms, hotel lobbies, factory gates and office brand walls use metal logos because a solid metal mark carries more weight than a printed panel.

Most of the skill sits before the metal. Every logo has to be translated: which parts become separate pieces, which are layered on stand-offs, which take a colour infill, which floating parts need a backing plate, and which hairlines must be thickened so they survive cutting and cleaning. Our designers do that translation at full size and our draftsmen turn it into cutting files for the laser cutters and CNC routers at Alam Square, Industrial Area 2, Ajman.

Bayan Signage is the production arm of Bayan Advertising, which has been part of the UAE market for 15 years, and our Ajman factory has made metal signage since 2016. Laser cutting, routing, welding, powder coating, LED assembly and finishing all happen under one roof. National retail groups and international brands are among the 500+ clients who have trusted us with the mark their customers see first.

Our process

How we make metal logo signs in our Ajman factory

  1. Artwork review

We check your vector file, list every separate part, and mark details too fine for metal. If you only have a JPEG or PNG, our designers redraw it in vector for your approval.

  2. Survey and full-size mock-up

We measure the wall and, for complex logos, fix a full-size printed template so you can judge size, balance and floating parts on site before any metal is cut.

  3. Laser cutting and routing

Stainless parts are laser cut, aluminium and acrylic inlays CNC-routed to ±0.1 mm. Fabricated parts get returns folded and joined, with seams ground and refinished.

  4. Finishing and layering

Each part is brushed, polished, powder-coated or given its finish, then layers are assembled on stand-offs with isolation washers between dissimilar metals.

  5. Lighting and inspection

Lit logos are fitted with LEDs and burn-tested at full brightness. The assembled logo is checked against the approved artwork for size, alignment and finish before dispatch.

  6. Installation

The base layer or backing plate goes up first from a template, then upper layers in sequence, checking alignment as we go. Lit logos are tested after dark before handover.

Expert advice

Advice from our design and drafting team

A metal logo is only as good as its translation from artwork. These are the points our designers raise on almost every logo job.

Size the logo from its smallest detail

Do not start from the overall width. A thin line or small symbol needs to be at least 3 to 5 mm wide in finished metal to cut cleanly and stay visible, and wider if it is lit. If the finest line is about 1 percent of the logo's width, the logo needs to be 300 to 500 mm wide for that line to survive; smaller than that, we thicken it or remove it.

Send vector artwork

A logo copied from a website or a low-resolution JPEG cannot be cut accurately. AI, PDF, SVG, EPS or DWG files with outlined shapes save redrawing time and avoid small shape errors being cut permanently into metal. If a redraw is needed, we send it for careful approval, because whatever is on that file is what the laser will cut.

Plan the floating parts

The centre of an O, a dot, a separate star or a crescent needs its own fixing or a backing plate. Left until installation, these parts end up slightly off position or held by visible screws. We decide at the drawing stage whether each floating part gets its own studs or sits on a plate, and show you how it will look.

Layer for depth, isolate the metals

Most premium logos are built in two or three layers, 5 to 20 mm apart: a body, a detail layer and sometimes a colour inlay. Different metals expand differently in UAE heat, and some combinations corrode when they touch in humid air, such as brass against aluminium. We separate layers with spacers and isolation washers and choose compatible fixings throughout.

Approve a full-size template first

For complex logos, we print or cut a full-size template and fix it to the wall before any metal is cut. Held in place, it shows immediately whether a detail is too small, whether floating parts look balanced and whether the size suits the space. Changing a line weight then takes minutes; changing it after cutting means remaking that part.

Pricing

Metal logo sign price in Dubai: what affects the cost

Every logo is priced from its artwork and drawing. Send your vector file, the wall size and a photo, and you will receive an itemised quote, usually within 24 hours.

Logo complexity

Every separate part, fine detail and tight curve adds cutting, finishing and fixing time. A simple mark can cost a fraction of a detailed crest of the same size.

Number of layers

Each layer is cut, finished, aligned and fixed on its own stand-offs, which multiplies workshop and installation time.

Metals and finishes

Mixing brushed stainless, PVD colours, brass and powder-coated aluminium adds material types and finishing steps.

Colour infills

Acrylic inlays and powder-coated sub-layers need precise cutting so they fit cleanly, and must be colour matched to the brand.

Lighting

Halo-lit or front-lit logos need fabricated parts, LED modules, drivers and wiring, plus a night test before handover.

Wall and installation

Large logos on cladding, glass or stone may need a sub-frame or backing plate, and work at height or out of hours adds cost.

Approvals

Permits for exterior metal logo signs

Exterior logos are usually treated as signs and need approval before installation: Dubai Municipality or the relevant free-zone authority such as DMCC, JAFZA or TECOM in Dubai, and the local municipality in Sharjah and Ajman. Master communities and developers may set limits on logo size, position and lighting, particularly on gate pillars and totems.

Interior reception logos normally need only landlord or building management approval. Where a logo sits with the company name, our draftsmen check the Arabic and English wording against your trade licence and prepare the elevation and specification for the submission. Requirements change and vary by site, so we confirm them for your address at the survey.

FAQ

Metal Logo Signs questions we are asked most

How much does a metal logo sign cost in Dubai?

It depends on logo complexity, size, number of layers, metals and finishes, colour infills, lighting and the wall. A simple flat-cut stainless mark is a modest job; a large layered, halo-lit logo with PVD and acrylic inlays costs considerably more. Send your vector file, the size and a photo for an itemised quote, usually within 24 hours.

What file format do you need for a metal logo?

Vector artwork is best: AI, PDF, SVG, EPS or DWG with outlined shapes. If you only have a JPEG or PNG, our designers can redraw the logo in vector, and you approve the redrawn version carefully, because any difference will be cut into the metal.

Can a metal logo keep my brand colours?

Yes, in several ways. Aluminium parts can be powder-coated in brand colours, coloured acrylic can be inlaid into metal outlines, and PVD stainless adds gold, black or bronze tones. The choice depends on whether you want the metal or the colour to lead, and we show samples side by side.

What is the best metal for a logo sign?

Brushed stainless steel is the most popular for premium, long-lasting logos indoors and out, in 316 grade near the coast. Aluminium is lighter and better for large painted logos. Brass suits hospitality and heritage settings with a warm tone. Many logos combine metals, such as stainless over a black backing, for contrast.

Can metal logos be illuminated?

Yes. Fabricated logo parts can be halo-lit with LEDs lighting the wall behind, or front-lit through acrylic inlays or faces. Flat-cut logos are usually unlit or lit externally, because thin plate has no room for LEDs. Lighting should be decided before the design is final, because it changes how each part is built.

How small can a metal logo be?

It depends on the detail. A simple mark can be cut down to around 100 mm, but logos with fine lines or small text usually need 300 mm or more so every part cuts and finishes cleanly. For very small logos, we often UV-print the fine detail onto a flat acrylic or aluminium panel and raise only the main shape as a cut metal part.

How long does a metal logo sign take?

Most metal logos are fabricated within 5 to 10 working days of artwork approval. Simple flat-cut marks are at the shorter end; layered, fabricated, PVD or illuminated logos take longer. Exterior logos may also need permits, which we prepare while the logo is being made.

How do I look after a metal logo sign?

Clean with a soft cloth and mild detergent, following the grain on brushed finishes, and avoid abrasive pads and harsh chemicals that damage PVD and lacquer. Near the coast, rinse with fresh water regularly, more often in humid months. Check gaps between layers for dust, and brush them clear on lit logos.
