FAQHSE Information Boards questions we are asked most
How much does an HSE board cost in Dubai?
It depends on the board size, how many changeable sections it has, whether you need lockable cases or a canopy, and how many matching boards the site needs. A wall-mounted board on the site office costs much less than a freestanding gate board with a canopy. Send us the content and locations and we will send an itemised quote, usually within 24 hours.
What should an HSE board on a construction site show?
Typically the safety statistics, such as man-hours and days without a lost time injury, mandatory PPE symbols, emergency numbers, first aider and fire warden names, the assembly point and current notices. The exact content usually comes from the contractor's HSE plan and the client's requirements, and we build the layout around those documents.
What is the difference between an HSE board and safety signs?
An HSE board is a central information point with statistics, contacts, policies and general rules, while safety signs sit at the hazard and warn or instruct at that spot. A site needs both. The board sets expectations at the gate, and the signs remind people at the excavation, scaffold or electrical room.
Can the safety statistics be updated easily?
Yes, that is the point of the design. We use slot-in digit cards, magnetic numerals or dry-wipe panels, so the safety officer can change figures in a minute without tools. For outdoor gates we usually recommend slot-in cards, because they do not slip in heat or fade like marker does.
Do HSE boards have to follow ISO 7010?
ISO 7010 is the widely used international standard for safety symbols, and most UAE contract specifications and client HSE standards refer to it. We use ISO 7010 pictograms by default and follow any specific requirement in your project documents, confirming the current position with your HSE team.
Which languages should be on an HSE board?
English and Arabic are the usual baseline, and many contractors add the languages most spoken on site, often Hindi, Urdu or Bengali. Pictograms carry most of the message, so captions can stay short. We follow your HSE plan and send proofs so native speakers on your team can check every translation.
Can you make smaller HSE boards for each zone or camp?
Yes. Many sites use one main board at the gate and smaller copies at each building, zone office or labour camp. We keep the same layout and symbols so workers recognise them, and the repeats cost less per board once the main design is approved.
Can we reuse the HSE board on our next project?
Often, yes. If the frame and cases are in good condition, we replace the printed header and project-specific panels and keep the structure. Planning for reuse from the start, with bolt-on rather than bonded panels, makes this simple and keeps the cost of the second board down.
