Glass Door Branding in the UAE

Glass door stickers that work as hard as the door

A glass door sticker is any graphic applied to an entrance or partition door: a logo, a frosted band with the name knocked out, push and pull labels, a decorative pattern or a full printed panel. Door branding matters most for offices off a shared lift lobby, clinics, gyms, salons and mall units with full-glass frontages in Dubai, Sharjah and Ajman, because the door is where every visitor looks as they arrive.

Doors are harder than windows. They move, people push on them hundreds of times a day, cleaners wipe them several times a shift, and they are seen from both sides at arm's length. A logo split across the meeting edge of a pair looks broken whenever one leaf opens; film within a hand's width of a pull bar lifts within weeks; plain vinyl shows a grey, reversed back to everyone inside. We survey how each door actually moves before we design anything.

Bayan Signage has fabricated signs in Ajman since 2016 as the production arm of Bayan Advertising, which has worked in the UAE for 15 years. Cutting, large-format printing and laminating happen in our own workshop, and the crew that prepares your door graphics fits them, so alignment across doors and side panels is checked by the people who prepared the files. More than 500 clients across the UAE, many of them returning, trust us with their entrances.

Our process

How we plan and fit glass door stickers

  1. Door-by-door survey

We record swing direction, handles, locks, floor springs, patch fittings, sensors and access readers, and measure every door and side panel. The survey is free in Dubai, Sharjah and Ajman.

  2. Zone the design

Our designers place the logo, visibility bands and any hours or push and pull text by height, keep every element 100 mm clear of fittings and align the door with neighbouring panes.

  3. Full-size paper template

On important entrances we tape a full-size paper print to the door, open and close it, and view it from the corridor and from inside before any film is cut.

  4. Cut, print and laminate

Cut vinyl and frosted film are cut and weeded; printed and double-sided graphics run on our large-format printers in register, then are laminated or masked for fitting.

  5. Fit with the doors closed

Glass is cleaned with a blade and alcohol. Large bands go on wet so they can slide into line; logos go on dry. On pairs, we fit both leaves closed, then check alignment.

  6. Function test and handover

We open and close each door several times, confirm sensors and readers still work, trim any edge near a fitting and leave care guidance for your cleaners.

Expert advice

Advice from our door graphics team

A glass door is the smallest sign on your premises and the one people touch most. These are the points we check before cutting anything.

Never cover a sensor or reader

Automatic sliding doors often have a motion sensor above the leaves, and offices fit access-control readers beside or behind the glass. Film over a sensor can make doors stay shut or open unexpectedly, which is a safety problem as well as an irritation. We locate every sensor at the survey, keep graphics clear of it, and on sliders we plan the logo so it is never split when the doors part.

Plan for the view from inside

Staff and visitors inside see the back of every door graphic all day. Plain vinyl applied outside reads backwards and shows a grey adhesive face. Frosted film looks intentional from both sides, and for doors seen equally from both directions, such as a gym or showroom entrance, a double-sided print with a white blocking layer reads correctly from each side for a modest extra cost.

Treat the door and side panels as one surface

Most entrances are a door plus one or two fixed panes. If the band on the door sits 20 mm lower than the band on the side light, everyone notices. We measure every pane on site rather than trusting drawings, set heights from the finished floor with a laser level, and continue bands and patterns across the frames so the whole entrance reads as one piece.

Mark the glass while you brand it

A frameless door with a small logo in one corner is still easy to walk into, especially when the light is similar on both sides. A band or pattern across the full width at about 850 to 1,000 mm and 1,400 to 1,600 mm handles branding and visibility in one film. It usually costs about the same as a logo plus separate safety dots, and looks far better.

Size the logo to the door, not the letterhead

A logo of 30 to 40 percent of the door width, usually 250 to 400 mm on a single door, reads from across a lift lobby without overwhelming the glass. Smaller than about 200 mm and it looks like a stray sticker; wider than half the door and it competes with the handle. Push and pull text works at 25 to 40 mm, on the faces where it is true.

Pricing

Glass door sticker price in Dubai: what affects the cost

Door graphics are quoted per entrance from our survey or your measurements. Send us the door sizes, a photo from each side and your logo, and we return an itemised quote, usually within 24 hours.

Number of doors and panes

Each door and side panel is measured, cut and fitted separately. A pair of doors with two side lights is four pieces of work, not one.

Single or double-sided

A double-sided print with a white blocking layer between two images needs extra print passes and careful registration, so it costs more.

Film type

Standard cut vinyl is economical. Frosted film, gradients, dichroic film and printed clear film with white ink cost more in material and production.

Design complexity

A knocked-out logo in a frosted band involves fine weeding and exact alignment across the door, while simple shapes are quicker to cut and fit.

Site timing

Busy entrances are usually fitted early in the morning or after closing, especially in malls and towers with work permits and set hours.

Old film removal

Peeling a previous tenant's door graphics and cleaning adhesive off the glass is slow work, so we list it as its own line.

Approvals

Glass door stickers, safety marking and landlord approval

Building codes and accessibility guidance such as the Dubai Universal Design Code generally expect glazed doors and screens to be clearly visible, usually through contrasting markings at two heights, and consultants often check this at the handover of an office or clinic fit-out. We design door branding so it can double as that marking where the rules allow, and confirm the current requirement for your building with you or your consultant.

Malls and commercial towers frequently control what goes on entrance glass, including coverage, colours and logos on shared lobby doors managed by the building. Free zones such as DMCC, JAFZA and TECOM may ask for tenant fit-out approval as well. We prepare the artwork and placement drawings for the landlord or authority and wait for written approval before we fit.

Why Bayan Signage

Why businesses choose Bayan Signage for glass door stickers

Every door surveyed

We check swing, fittings, sensors and readers on site, so graphics never block a handle, a sensor or the view through the door.

Cut and printed in-house

Cut vinyl, frosted film, single and double-sided prints are produced and laminated in our Ajman workshop, matched to your brand colours.

Branding and visibility together

We design bands and logos that brand the entrance and make the glass easy to see, instead of adding generic dots later.

Aligned across every pane

Heights are set from the finished floor with a laser level, so bands and logos line up across doors and side panels.

Fitted by the team that made them

The crew that prepared your graphics fits them, checks alignment with the doors closed and tests that the doors still work properly.

Clear, itemised quotes

Production, fitting and any old film removal are listed separately, usually within 24 hours of receiving your door sizes and photos.

FAQ

Glass Door Branding questions we are asked most

How much does a glass door sticker cost in Dubai?

It depends on the number of doors and side panels, the film, whether the graphic is single or double-sided and when we can fit it. A white cut-vinyl logo on one office door is very economical; a full entrance with frosted bands and double-sided prints costs more. Send us sizes, photos and your logo for an itemised quote, usually within 24 hours.

Should a glass door sticker go on the inside or outside?

Inside wherever possible. The film is then protected from UV, dust and cleaning blades and lasts much longer, typically five years or more. We fit outside only when heavy tint or reflections would make an inside graphic hard to read from the street, or when the design needs the truest colour.

Can a glass door sticker read correctly from both sides?

Yes, with a double-sided print. We print the image, add a white blocking layer, then print the second image in register on top, so the logo reads correctly from the corridor and from inside. Frosted film is a simpler option that looks finished from both sides, though it reads in reverse from inside.

Do glass doors need safety markings in Dubai?

Generally, yes. Codes and accessibility guidance such as the Dubai Universal Design Code expect glazed doors to be clearly visible, usually with contrasting markings at two heights. Your branding can often double as that marking. We confirm the current requirement for your building before we design.

Will a sticker affect my automatic door?

It can, if film covers the motion sensor or an access reader, which may make the door stay shut or open unexpectedly. We locate every sensor and reader at the survey, keep graphics clear of them, and test the door several times after fitting before we leave.

How long does door branding take to install?

Most single or double entrances are fitted in a visit of an hour or two once the graphics are made, and we give you a realistic production schedule with the quote, starting from artwork approval. Mall and tower entrances are often fitted before opening or after closing to suit building rules.

Can you change door graphics you fitted when our branding changes?

Yes. When a rebrand, new opening hours or a new tenant name means the graphics we fitted need updating, we peel the old film at a low angle, soften stubborn sections with gentle heat and clean off the adhesive, leaving the glass ready for the new graphics. Sun-baked film takes longer, so removal is listed separately on the quote.

Do you fit glass door stickers outside Dubai?

Yes. We produce in Ajman and fit across Dubai, Sharjah, Ajman, Abu Dhabi and the other emirates. The site survey is free in Dubai, Sharjah and Ajman, and for companies with several offices or branches we schedule them together.
