Designed and cut in Ajman

Opening Hours Stickers for Shops in Dubai, Sharjah & Ajman

Bayan Signage designs, cuts and fits opening hours stickers for shop, clinic, salon and office doors from its factory in Ajman. We lay out the days and times so they cannot be misread, set the Arabic properly, and make seasonal lines as separate pieces, so your Ramadan and summer hours change in minutes rather than with a reprint.

Opening Hours Stickers in the UAE

Opening hours stickers customers can read in one glance

An opening hours sticker is the small panel of cut or printed vinyl beside the door handle that tells customers when you trade, when you break and how to reach you outside those times. Almost every shop, pharmacy, clinic, salon, restaurant and office with a glass entrance in Dubai and the northern emirates needs one, and retail groups often roll them out to every branch at once with store-specific times.

The content looks simple, but there is plenty to get wrong: days grouped inconsistently, a mix of 24-hour and am/pm times, a missing Friday prayer break, Arabic numerals that do not match the English, or Ramadan hours printed into the main sign so it is out of date for eleven months of the year. Our designers treat the hours as a small piece of information design, aligned in columns, with seasonal lines kept on their own removable strip.

Bayan Signage has run its Ajman factory since 2016 as the production arm of Bayan Advertising, which has 15 years in the UAE. We cut, print and check hours stickers in-house alongside the window lettering and door branding they sit next to, so fonts and colours match. For groups with many branches, we print, label and pack each store's kit and can fit them across all seven emirates.

Our process

How we design and fit opening hours stickers

  1. Collect your hours and door details

You send the regular and seasonal hours, a phone or WhatsApp number and a photo of the door. We note which way it opens, the handle side and where the door rests during trading.

  2. Lay out the timetable

Our designers group days with matching times, pick one clock format, align times in a column and give Friday its own line, then add the contact line and any QR code.

  3. Set and check the Arabic

Arabic day names and numerals are set as their own right-to-left layout, then checked by a native reader so both languages show identical times.

  4. Cut or print in our workshop

Cut vinyl is cut and weeded; printed versions run on our large-format printers and are laminated or reverse-printed. Seasonal strips are made as separate pieces with a guide mark.

  5. Check and pack

Each sticker is checked against the approved proof for times, spelling and size. For multi-branch roll-outs, kits are labelled by store with a one-page fitting guide.

  6. Fit on site or supply

Our crew cleans the glass, levels the sticker on a masking-tape line and squeegees it down. Single stickers can also be supplied with tape for your staff to apply.

Specification

Opening hours sticker specification: what we use

Small as it is, an hours sticker is wiped more often than any other sign on your premises. This is the build we recommend, and when we change it.

Expert advice

Advice from our design team

Most hours stickers we replace were not badly made; they were badly planned. These are the rules we follow on every one.

Use one clock format and write Closed

A sign reading 9:00 to 22:00 on one line and 9 am to 10 pm on the next makes customers stop and calculate. Pick 24-hour or am/pm and use it throughout, with the same separator and alignment. Write Closed rather than leaving a day blank, because a blank looks like a printing mistake and people phone to check, which is exactly what the sticker was meant to prevent.

Give Friday and breaks their own lines

Private businesses vary widely on Friday hours and prayer breaks, and many shops close for a few hours in the afternoon. If the sticker shows one block of time, customers who arrive during the break assume you have closed for good. We put Friday on its own line and show split shifts as two times on the same row, so the gap is obvious at a glance.

Keep Ramadan off the main sign

Ramadan and Eid hours change every year and the dates move. Printing them into the main sticker means it is wrong for eleven months. We make a separate seasonal strip, usually 30 to 40 mm high, fitted to a guide mark below the main hours. It goes up on the first evening and comes off after Eid, and we supply a spare flat for the following year.

Place it where the door does not hide it

On a door that opens outwards and is propped open during trading, a sticker on the wrong leaf disappears for most of the day. We check how the door actually sits, place the sticker on the handle side or the fixed pane beside it, about 100 mm in from the edge so hands and cloths do not catch it, and centre it at 1,300 to 1,500 mm.

Separate the logo from the times

When hours change, which they always do, the cheapest update is a few lines of plain white lettering. If the logo and times are printed as one branded panel, every change means reprinting the whole thing. We cut the times as white vinyl and keep any logo on its own piece, which across a group of branches turns a redesign into a quick reprint and fit.

Pricing

Opening hours sticker price in Dubai: what affects the cost

Hours stickers are among the most affordable signs we make, and we often quote them with your door and window lettering. Send your hours, logo and a photo of the door for an itemised quote, usually within 24 hours.

Format and material

Single-colour cut vinyl is the most economical. Printed clear vinyl with white ink, etched-effect film and acrylic plates each add material or production steps.

Number of branches

One design produced for twenty branches costs much less per sticker than twenty separate designs, and batch production keeps roll-outs efficient.

Bilingual layout

Setting Arabic and English neatly, with matching numerals and day names, takes design time, especially when the brand has its own Arabic font.

Seasonal strips

A separate Ramadan or summer strip adds a little at the start but avoids replacing the whole sticker every season.

Fitting visits

A single sticker can be supplied for your staff to apply. On-site fitting suits high glass, large windows or roll-outs on fixed dates.

Removal of old stickers

Old hours vinyl baked onto the glass, and tape residue from paper notices, takes time to clean off before the new sticker goes on.

Approvals

Opening hours stickers and landlord rules

An opening hours sticker does not usually need a municipality permit on its own, because it carries information rather than advertising. Malls and managed retail buildings, however, often set rules for anything on tenant glass, including position, size and colour, and some issue a standard hours format for every unit. We check the landlord's criteria with you before production and confirm any requirement for your site.

Where the hours form part of a wider shopfront package with your trade name, logo and window lettering, that package may need approval from Dubai Municipality, Sharjah or Ajman Municipality, or the free-zone authority. In that case our draftsmen include the hours panel in the submission drawings, so everything on the glass is approved together and nothing has to come off later.

FAQ

Opening Hours Stickers questions we are asked most

How much does an opening hours sticker cost in Dubai?

It is one of the most affordable signs we make. The cost depends on the format, whether it is cut or printed, the number of branches and whether we fit it on site. Send your hours, logo and a photo of the door, and we will send an itemised quote, usually within 24 hours.

What should an opening hours sticker include?

Days grouped where the times match, clear start and finish times in one format, Friday and any break on their own lines, and a phone or WhatsApp number for outside hours. In the UAE it normally appears in Arabic and English, and seasonal hours are best kept on a separate strip.

Should the sticker go inside or outside the glass?

Usually inside, reading out. It is then protected from cleaning blades, rain and dust, and lasts several years. We fit it outside only when strong reflections make inside text hard to read, or when the glass is tinted so darkly that the times lose contrast.

How quickly can you make an opening hours sticker?

We give you a realistic schedule with the quote, based on the film, the quantity and whether our crew fits it. Branch roll-outs and printed designs need more checking than a single cut vinyl sticker. If your Ramadan strip is needed for a fixed date, tell us that date when you ask for the quote and we will plan production around it.

Can I apply the opening hours sticker myself?

Yes, for a single cut or printed sticker on a clean door. We supply it with application tape and a short guide: clean the glass with alcohol, mark a level line, squeegee from the centre and peel the tape back slowly. For large or high glass, or several branches, our crew fits them.

How do I change my hours for Ramadan without a new sign?

Ask for a separate seasonal strip when the main sticker is made. It is fitted to a guide mark below the regular hours on the first day of Ramadan and removed after Eid. If the timings change from one year to the next, we cut a fresh strip to the same size.

Is an opening hours sticker better than an acrylic sign?

On glass, a sticker is cheaper, cleaner and harder to knock off. On solid timber, textured metal or masonry, a printed acrylic plate on stand-offs looks better and survives cleaning. If your hours change often through the year, a slot-in acrylic holder with a printed card is the most practical.

Do you supply opening hours stickers outside Dubai?

Yes. We make them in Ajman and fit across Dubai, Sharjah, Ajman, Abu Dhabi and the other emirates, or supply them ready for your staff to apply. The site survey is free in Dubai, Sharjah and Ajman when the stickers are part of a wider window or door job.
