FAQTrimless Channel Letters questions we are asked most
How much do trimless letters cost in Dubai?
Trimless letters cost more than standard channel letters of the same size, because forming, bonding and dense LED layouts take longer. The total depends on build, return material, letter size and detail, service design and installation conditions. Send your logo, fascia size and any mall criteria for an itemised quote, usually within 24 hours.
Why choose trimless over standard channel letters?
Trimless channel letters have cleaner edges, light that reaches the outline and better proportions at small sizes, which is why premium brands and many malls prefer them. Standard trim-cap letters are cheaper and easier to service or rebrand. If the sign will stay for years and appearance matters most, trimless is usually worth it.
Are trimless letters harder to repair?
They can be, if service has not been designed in. Because the face is bonded, LEDs are reached through a removable back panel or by taking the letter down. With access planned from the start, as we do on every lit letter, repairs are straightforward; without it, a failed module can mean remaking the letter.
How small can trimless letters be?
Recessed-face acrylic letters work down to around 100 mm in height, depending on stroke width, and resin-filled letters can go to about 50 mm. Standard trim-cap letters usually start at around 150 to 200 mm for even light and good proportions, so small text is one of the clearest reasons to choose trimless.
Can trimless letters be used outdoors in the UAE?
Yes, with the right materials: UV-stable acrylics and resins, flexible adhesives that handle heat, sealed backs and IP65 LED modules. Shaded fascias and canopies are kinder to bonded faces than fully exposed west-facing walls, but well-built trimless signs perform in both, and outdoor letters carry our 5-year warranty.
What is the difference between resin and acrylic trimless letters?
Resin letters have translucent resin poured into a metal shell, giving a smooth face and very sharp edges at small sizes. Acrylic versions use cut acrylic faces recessed into or set onto metal returns, or full acrylic construction. Resin suits very small, detailed logos; acrylic suits medium and large letters.
Do malls in Dubai require trimless letters?
Some do. Many UAE malls have tenant design criteria that restrict visible trim caps, set maximum depths and specify colour temperature or brightness, while others accept standard channel letters. We review the criteria for your unit, propose a build that meets them and submit shop drawings for the landlord's approval before fabrication.
How do I clean trimless letters?
Wipe faces and returns with water and mild soap on a soft cloth every few months. Avoid solvents and glass sprays, which can craze acrylic and attack bonded edges. Never lever a face off to reach the LEDs; service goes through the back. On full acrylic letters, dust the sides too, as dirt shows when lit.
