Salon & Spa Signs in the UAE

Salon signs that carry the brand from street to chair

Salon signs and spa signage are the package that carries a beauty brand from the pavement to the treatment room: the name on the fascia, often a script logo in brushed gold or rose gold, window film that sets how much of the interior passers-by can see, a reception logo or LED neon feature wall, and room, washroom and price signs inside. Ladies' salons, barbershops, nail and lash bars, spas and wellness centres all need a version of it.

This sector rewards finish and light quality more than size, and it has one recurring trap: a beautiful script logo with hairline strokes that cannot hold LEDs and looks broken at night. The second trap is humidity, because some materials swell, peel or corrode near steam rooms and pools. Our designers redraw scripts so the thinnest lit stroke stays buildable, our laser cutters and CNC routers cut them in-house, and we choose materials room by room.

Bayan Signage is the production arm of Bayan Advertising, which has 15 years in the UAE, and our factory at Alam Square, Industrial Area 2, Ajman has built storefront and interior signs since 2016. Fascia letters, neon, film and interior signs are all made and fitted by our own team, so the gold on your fascia matches the gold behind your reception desk.

Our process

How we make salon signs in our Ajman factory

  1. Survey and brand brief

We measure the frontage and glazing, ask how much privacy clients need, and photograph the interior walls for reception and neon pieces. The survey is free in Dubai, Sharjah and Ajman.

  2. Script logo redraw

Our designers thicken the weakest strokes and connections so the logo can be cut and lit, keeping its character, and set the Arabic name in a matching style rather than a default font.

  3. Full-size proof

We print the logo at full size so you can tape it to the fascia and see it from the car park. Thickening a stroke at this stage costs nothing; changing a lit letter later does.

  4. Cutting and finishing

Letters are laser-cut or CNC-routed, metal faces brushed or PVD-finished, returns powder-coated, and LED modules or neon fitted and run at full brightness in our test area.

  5. Film and interior pieces

Privacy film is prepared in our factory from your design, and interior signs are made in moisture-resistant materials for any room near steam, showers or pools.

  6. Installation around your hours

Fascia letters go up from a template, film is applied to cleaned glass with logos aligned across panes, and interior work is scheduled around your opening times or fit-out.

Specification

Salon sign specification by area

Expert advice

Advice from our design team

Beauty brands sell a feeling before a service, and small sign decisions decide whether that feeling survives the trip from screen to street. These are the points we raise with every salon.

Approve the logo at sign scale, not card scale

A script that looks elegant on a business card can be impossible to light evenly at fascia size. Lit strokes need about 15 to 20 mm of width to hold LEDs, and the fine connections between letters are the first to look broken at night. Script logos also need about 20 to 30% more height than a block font to read from the same distance, because their swashes vanish first.

Screen clients without closing the shop

Many ladies' salons screen their glazing so seated clients cannot be seen from outside. Fully opaque film achieves that but makes the salon look shut. Run frosted or gradient film from the floor to about 1.8 to 2 m and leave a clear band above, or cut the logo out of the film at 300 to 600 mm wide, so it reads by day and glows softly from inside at night.

Match the white to the brand

Warm white around 2,700 to 3,000 K suits luxury salons and spas; it makes gold glow and feels calm. Barbershops and budget salons often look better with neutral white, which reads brighter from a distance. Whatever you choose, use the same colour temperature for the fascia, reception logo and window display, or the frontage looks like two businesses.

Test neon from the chair, not the door

LED neon close to clients' faces can be harsh in a small room, especially in pink and cool white. Ask for a dimmable driver and check the brightness sitting where clients sit, not standing at the entrance. Mount neon slogans where they will appear behind clients in photos, not opposite the mirrors where they reflect into every station.

Choose materials room by room

Spas, hammams and pool areas are humid all day. Painted MDF swells, cheap metals corrode and some adhesives let go within months. We use acrylic, stainless steel, aluminium and PVC foam near steam and water, and keep wood-look finishes to sealed laminates on a moisture-resistant core. It costs little more and nobody has to remake a room sign in year two.

Pricing

Salon sign board price in Dubai: what affects the cost

We price each salon package from its drawings. Send your logo files, photos of the frontage and glazing and a list of interior pieces, and we usually send an itemised quote within 24 hours.

Logo complexity

Script logos with many curves, swashes and fine details take longer to redraw, cut and fabricate than simple block letters, especially as halo-lit metal letters.

Finish

Brushed gold, rose gold and PVD finishes cost more than painted aluminium or acrylic; real metal and wood effects add material and finishing time.

Lighting type

Halo-lit letters cost more than front-lit or unlit letters. LED neon is priced mainly by length and the complexity of the design.

Window film area

Film is priced by area and complexity. Cut logos, gradients and patterns cost more than plain frosted film but carry the brand across the glass.

Interior package

Reception logos, feature walls, room signs and price boards add up, but designing them together shares installation visits.

Approvals

Outdoor signs typically need municipality approval, and villa conversions or community retail may need developer approval too.

Approvals

Salon sign permits and community rules

An outdoor salon sign usually needs approval from Dubai Municipality, Sharjah Municipality, Ajman Municipality or the free-zone authority for your area, with the trade name matching your licence in Arabic and English. Master communities, malls and villa areas often add their own rules on sign size, lighting and colour, and beauty centres in converted villas can face tight limits on anything facing the street.

Window film is usually simpler, but some landlords and authorities have views on how much glazing may be covered, and some expect ladies' salons to screen clients from view. We check the landlord and municipality rules for your unit at the survey, prepare any drawings needed and confirm the current requirements before fabrication.

FAQ

Salon & Spa Signs questions we are asked most

How much does a salon signboard cost in Dubai?

It depends on the logo complexity, the finish, the lighting and how many interior pieces you need. Front-lit acrylic letters cost less than halo-lit gold PVD letters, and a full package with neon, film and a reception logo costs more than the fascia alone. Send your logo and photos, and we will send an itemised quote, usually within 24 hours.

What is the best lighting for a salon sign?

For luxury and wellness brands, warm white halo lighting usually looks best, because it is soft and makes metal finishes glow. Younger or trend-led brands often add coloured LED neon inside. Barbershops and budget salons usually suit brighter front-lit letters that read further at night.

Can you make a sign from my script logo?

Yes, but most script logos need some adjustment first. Very thin strokes and fine connections cannot hold LEDs or be cut cleanly at large sizes. We redraw the logo for fabrication, thickening the weakest parts while keeping its character, and give you a full-size print to approve before cutting.

Do ladies' salons need privacy film on the windows?

Many ladies' salons screen their windows so clients cannot be seen from outside, and some landlords or authorities expect it. Frosted, gradient or patterned films give privacy while letting light in, and a cut-out logo or clear band keeps the salon visibly open. We confirm any requirement for your location.

Is LED neon a good choice for a salon?

Yes, it is one of the most popular choices for salon interiors. LED neon flex is low voltage, cool to the touch, energy efficient and available in many colours, so it suits slogans, logos and feature walls. Outdoors it works in sheltered spots, but for the main fascia we usually prefer lit letters.

Which sign materials work best in spas and humid rooms?

Acrylic, stainless steel, aluminium and PVC foam board handle humidity well. Avoid MDF, untreated wood and cheaper metals near steam rooms, showers and pools, as they swell, peel or corrode. For a natural look, sealed wood-effect laminates on a moisture-resistant core work far better than raw timber.

How long does a salon sign take to make?

We give you a realistic schedule with the quote, because timing depends on the sign. Window film and interior signs are usually made in parallel with the fascia. Script redrawing, special finishes and permits all add time, so it is worth starting the sign early in the fit-out, ideally once the shop drawings are agreed.

Do you make barbershop signs as well?

Yes. Barbershops usually suit a bolder look than ladies' salons: front-lit letters or a lightbox in neutral or cool white, sometimes with a lit barber pole, so the shop is noticed from the road at night. We design them with the same care for Arabic, materials and approvals.
